Mr*** ***s is a two-time graduate from The Ohio
Media School’s Columbus campusHe first graduated with a diploma in Radio & Television Broadcasting in September 2015, then returned to graduate with another diploma from our Sports Broadcasting program in August Mr*** is correct that he paid the balance of his Radio & Television Broadcasting programHowever, our records indicate that he still owes the school a small balance on his second program, Sports Broadcasting, as demonstrated in the attached documentation. Due to Mr***s’ testament of dissatisfaction with our school, Ohio Media School will cease collection on the balance owed to the school (this does NOT include any balance still owed to federal student loans)We wish Mr*** nothing but success in the future as he pursues new endeavors after graduation, and we will honor his wish to be added to our “do-not-call-list.”

Dear
Mr[redacted]: April
27th,
The Ohio Center for Broadcasting
– Columbus Campus welcomes the opportunity to respond to the student's
complaint received on April 18th, 2015.
We take any complaint seriously and have an excellent record of
resolving such issuesUpon review of the student's complaint, we believe the claim
filed by the student has been resolved on our end to the satisfaction of Mr
[redacted]
In short, the student attended a
portion of the first term of the school's program, and according to the
Enrollment Agreement which the student signed, as well as State and Federal
law, the school was entitled to collect the entire tuition cost for that term as
detailed below, regardless of the reason for the student's decision to
discontinue the program. Financial aid
received by the school was correctly applied to the student's account
(documentation attached), and no funds were payable to the student.
The program at the Ohio Center
for Broadcasting (OCB) is divided into defined payment periods (Term I, II, and
III). The specific class in which the student
was enrolled had the following term breakdown:
11/17/thru 03/17/– Term I Tuition cost for Semester
I = $5,+ $enrollment fee (total $5,269)
03/18/thru 07/08/– Term
II No
charge to student
07/13/thru 11/04/– Term
III No
charge to student
Mr[redacted] attended class from 12/01/
thru 12/11/in Term I and then was withdrawn from the program for
unsatisfactory attendance. Attachment A is our internal
attendance sheet that documents his attendance on these datesIn accordance
with his signed enrollment agreement, Attachment
B, he still owed a portion of his tuition directly to the school for
the timeframe in which he attended classes
Attachment C includes Mr[redacted]'s student status change
form, his financial statement at OCB, and the federal refund calculation (R2T4)
required by the Department of Education that reflects the refund of his federal
loansAll of these documents were emailed and mailed directly to Mr[redacted] at
his request in January of in order to enable him to enroll at another
collegeAs you can see, OCB promptly returned his federal funding, and
prepared a write-off of the monies due directly to the schoolDue to a clerical
error on our part, his balance was not cleared until this month
OCB had agreed to clear Mr
[redacted]'s $4,balance due to Mr[redacted] only attending classes in totalWe
apologize for any inconvenience to Mr[redacted], he no longer owes OCB any funds
at this time, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavorsWe are
available to assist him with any questions he has regarding his student loan
status. Mr[redacted] is encouraged to
contact our Financial Aid Department at his convenience at the Columbus Campus
at [redacted]
If you have any further
questions, feel free to contact me at the school at [redacted]
