This person starting contacting me a month ago interested in purchasing this Utility vehicle After their repeated requests for discounts I finally accepted the offer of somewhere around dollars off as well as taking two older ATVs as partial trade credit To clarify, they did not purchase for $as indicated but rather for one $cash payment He drove the UTV around for an hour in daylight conditions, inspected it and then drove it around some more There was nothing wrong with it We had already serviced it with a new battery (clearly visible), new (expensive) main drive belt and other misc service was already performed before we advertised or sold it Nothing was hidden or misrepresented in any way He did inquire about a crack in the base of the seat mount which I agreed to replace We also noticed that the electric winch was not working so I thought I would compensate with a very nice upgraded $Warn(Brand) replacement free of charge (It turns out the winch that was on there started working fine, but he texted me he would still use the upgraded one) After he took it to a large OEM Polaris dealership, he was told he needed to replace a few plastic pieces that cover the air box breather (more than half of the used atvs I receive on trade have this modification done and it does not create a problem) The machine was fine when it left here (but was in used condition) with absolutely no safety, mechanical or electrical issues I understand they may want to restore it to New condition but that was never part of our deal He has simply been asking for replacement things and I have been fine with that by giving them discounts, free parts, information, etc He continues to ask for more free parts and compensation so I simply told him this was getting to be a little ridiculous and just return the item to me to either cancel the transaction or I could have our mechanics install whatever replacement brake pads, parts, bearings etc for no charge

This was the best place I found to purchase a used motorcycle period After wasting lots of time driving around to check out different motorcycles that I found while researching private ads, (that at first seemed like a great deal and then finding out otherwise for various reasons), I ended up ultimately finding the best deal by a longshot at Ohio Cycle The Owner Duane D*** also gave me the best advice on a few safety riding tips, comfortable riding info and other great info

I am rejecting this response because:The owner is not taking responsibility for selling a defective productI still have not been able to enjoy the UTV I purchased/traded because of the major repairs it's neededIt is not about restoring it to new, it's making it safe and functionalI realize it's a used machine and if it was gone over by this dealer then it should have been ready to rideThe two "old" (2012, 2006) machines I traded in were in perfect riding conditionThe $winch was used, provided without wiring or switches and sells new for $on AmazonI still have yet to receive the replacement seat base as our agreement The owner did offer to service the machine again, after I had it at a real Polaris dealer and found the major issues with the machineI contacted him and simply explained and shown pictures of the parts that needed to make it rideableHe requested I bring it to him for repairs that should have been made prior to selling itThe commute is nearly miles one way, for meNot the dealers issue I understand but it's burdensome for me to make that commute againI nearly requested the owner reimburse me for the parts and I would pay for the labor costs associated with such repairs at the repair faculty of my choosingObviously the owner or their employees cannot make a machine functional before leaving their facilitiesSo I turn I don't trust them to service it with replacement partsI'm simply seeking $for the replacement parts and I'll be satisfied and close my complaint with the business and re review themI can and will provide receipts and photos upon request if necessaryWhich I have provided photos with the owner of Ohio Cycle already

I highly advise customers to steer clear of purchasing from [redacted] at Ohio Cycle. We should have known what we were getting into from the very beginning, when he was over two hours late to the agreed time of meeting at Ohio Cycle. After test driving the ATV that I was interested in, I proceeded to purchase the ATV in cash, along with $100 extra for "taxes and title work." Because Ohio Cycle is a licensed dealer, I was aware that I would not be getting my title on the day of purchase. Ohio Law states that the dealer has 30 days from the day of sale to relinquish the title. [redacted] assured me that I would get my title within the next week, but as three weeks passed, I phoned [redacted] to check the status as I had yet to receive it. When an associate of [redacted] answered my call, I was assured that the title was in the mail, and I would receive it shortly. Approximately 40 days after the point of sale, I checked with the BMV and the title was still not transferred to my name, let alone, "on its way, in the mail." I then phoned [redacted] again, where he proceeded to explain that he was "waiting for me to pay my tax and title work fee." When I explained that I gave him $100 at the point of sale and the title was still not placed in my name, he answered with, "No [redacted] Sherlock, obviously it's not in your name..." and then he hung up on me. I called him back immediately, and then approximately three more times, with no answer. I then decided I was not going to get anywhere with [redacted], and found it necessary to involve the Auto Theft Division of the Columbus Police Department. If I would have known it would have been that easy to get [redacted] motivated, I would have done it at day 30. I received my title about a week later, in my name, but with the wrong address. (Go figure…) Somehow he managed to get the address on the title wrong, while still sending the title to the correct address through the mail. Needless to say, the issue of the title is not my main concern. What I do have a problem with is the fact that [redacted] lied to me, was disrespectful, and deliberately deceitful. He wasted my time on more than one occasion, and was in general a rude person. I would never deal with [redacted] again, and I would never recommend him or his business to anyone.

purchase for $7500 as indicated but rather for one $800 cash payment.  He drove the UTV around for an hour in daylight conditions, inspected it and then drove it around some more.  There was nothing wrong with it.  We had already serviced it with a new battery (clearly visible), new (expensive) main drive belt and other misc service was already performed before we advertised or sold it.  Nothing was hidden or misrepresented in any way.  He did inquire about a crack in the base of the seat mount which I agreed to replace.  We also noticed that the electric winch was not working so I thought I would compensate with a very nice upgraded $500 Warn(Brand) replacement free of charge (It turns out the winch that was on there started working fine, but he texted me he would still use the upgraded one).  After he took it to a large OEM Polaris dealership, he was told he needed to replace a few plastic pieces that cover the air box breather (more than half of the used atvs I receive on trade have this modification done and it does not create a problem).  The machine was fine when it left here (but was in used condition) with absolutely no safety, mechanical or electrical issues.  I understand they may want to restore it to New condition but that was never part of our deal.  He has simply been asking for replacement things and I have been fine with that by giving them discounts, free parts, information, etc.   He continues to ask for more free parts and compensation so I simply told him this was getting to be a little ridiculous and just return the item to me to either cancel the transaction or I could have our mechanics install whatever replacement brake pads, parts, bearings etc for no charge.

I am rejecting this response because:
The owner is not taking responsibility for selling a defective product. I still have not been able to enjoy the UTV I purchased/traded because of the major repairs it's needed. It is not about restoring it to new, it's making it safe and functional. I realize it's a used machine and if it was gone over by this dealer then it should have been ready to ride. The two "old" (2012, 2006) machines I traded in were in perfect riding condition. The $500 winch was used, provided without wiring or switches and sells new for $200 on Amazon. I still have yet to receive the replacement seat base as our agreement.
The owner did offer to service the machine again, after I had it at a real Polaris dealer and found the major issues with the machine. I contacted him and simply explained and shown pictures of the parts that needed to make it rideable. He requested I bring it to him for repairs that should have been made prior to selling it. The commute is nearly 180 miles one way, for me. Not the dealers issue I understand but it's burdensome for me to make that commute again. I nearly requested the owner reimburse me for the parts and I would pay for the labor costs associated with such repairs at the repair faculty of my choosing. Obviously the owner or their employees cannot make a machine functional before leaving their facilities. So I turn I don't trust them to service it with replacement parts. I'm simply seeking $350 for the replacement parts and I'll be satisfied and close my complaint with the business and re review them. I can and will provide receipts and photos upon request if necessary. Which I have provided photos with the owner of Ohio Cycle already.
