I have had insurance with this company for over years and recently had a house fire claimSince this happened I have had nothing but stress involving the companyFirst they said my house was not a total loss because the walls are still standing even though they are cracked all to pieces! They had sent a adjuster out twice plus a structural engineer and neither one bothered to take the paneling down and look at the actual brick wall that the house is made ofThey went weeks without even contacting me and refused to extend my hotel stay a couple of timesMy fiance and I had to sleep in a two door Focus for a total of days because of thatI had done everything they had asked me to doIts been going on three months and they have still not done anythingMeanwhile my house keeps cracking and will eventually cave in but they just don't care! I finally had to get a lawyer to deal with them before they even offered any money to replace my houseThey only offered $73,and the cheapest estimate I had was for $148,000! They are called The Ohio Fair Plan but should be called The Ohio UNFAIR Plan instead! I would recommend anyone who has this company to drop them like a bad habit!

I'm answering your letter I received after the holiday to continue our conversation.  The pictures I have received were taken by the estimator hired by the Ins. Co.  The letter speakes only about the outside of the house. I showed damage to the inside of the house the ceiling, walls, clothing etc.  The pictures of the roof, chemmney etc. were damages done before I bought the house. [redacted] who is [redacted]'s Boss who is the agent repensenting Ohio Fair Plan Inc.  Told me that when an inspector who went out to inspect the property at [redacted] didn't even go up on the roof to inspect roof, chemmey & ect., for an insurance policy could be issued on the property on 2nd st. S.E.  The knew the inspection was false.  I want to know how am I responsible for that sub par work done to the property when I didn't even own it.  Claim Rep. who the Ins. Co. hired said that the damage on the roof is older than the time I had owned the property. I brought this up to their attention but I was ignored. I thought I had ins. for the inside & outside of the home. Also the content of the home. If wrong please explain to me.  Waiting to hear from you thank you & God Bless. [redacted]P.S. My mail came late because of the holidays.
