Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11929530, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, [redacted] I live 45-minutes away from the dealership....My oil change maintance was done by my husband until his death in 2011, in which I brought it to a local business for oil change maintance...I didnot drive to houma to get my oil change done...I'm thinking that R.O in the response is for Repair order??? & I'm not sure what EOM stands for....I don't mind bringing in my car to be checked out..But why was I told by the gentleman in the service deptthat he never heard of a car consuming that much oil & it not leaking out or smoking....when their was a recall on this same thing for Altimas...I do not want to be charged for this diagnostic check...and can I trust this

As *** *** stated, she requested we only submit her application to institutions. We followed her request and submitted her application only to Chase and Capital One on a pre-owned Toyota Camry. Chase declined the loan application and Capital One returned an unachievable
counter offer. *** *** was visibly upset that the financing was not approved. We consulted with her and stated the we may have a better chance of an approval on a new Nissan with a rebate, and submitting her application to Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC). We did obtain her approval to proceed with that before submitting to NMAC. NMAC declined the loan application. If NMAC declines a loan, they automatically push the application to Santander Consumer USA as a "pass-through" program or "second chance" for an approval. Santander declined the loan application as well. At that point we consulted with *** *** again and stated our last effort would be to try submitting her application on a an entry level car, like a Versa. We attempted to have the banks that conditioned or denied the previous loan application, as well as AmeriCredit Financial, to reconsider the application on a new Nissan Versa. The loan application was either denied or counteroffered to an unachievable condition. We advised *** *** that our attempts to achieve vehicle financing were unsuccessful

I have read and reviewed the customer's complaint. After researching the history, I have found that the car was purchased here in October of 2006. Since then we have only one service record on file for this vehicle, which was an ECM reprogram on June 28, 2010. We also do not have
an open R.Oor official diagnosis for the instance in this claim to determine the actual cause of the current problem. If an engine replacement is requested, EOM manufacturers will require maintenance records on the vehicle. We have no maintenance records on file. The customer also states that the vehicle had an oil change performed weeks prior to the said problem occurring. We have no record of that maintenance visit. We have also checked for any open recalls that may exist on this vehicle. The only recall that existed on this vehicle was the one performed in June 2010. MrsReulet is welcome to have the car brought in and have the problem properly diagnosed. However, at this point, we have no cause to make a claim to Nissan Motor Corporation for an engine replacement. Respectfully,*** ***General ManagerGeri Lynn Nissan

I live 45-60 minutes away from the dealership....My oil change maintance was done by my husband until his death in 2011, in which I brought it to a local business for oil change maintance...I didnot drive to houma to get my oil change done...I'm thinking that R.O in the response is for Repair order??? & I'm not sure what EOM stands for....I don't mind bringing in my car to be checked out..But why was I told by the gentleman in the service dept. that he never heard of a car consuming that much oil & it not leaking out or smoking....when their was a recall on this same thing for 2006 Altimas...I do not want to be charged for this diagnostic check...and can I trust this.

In reference to [redacted] request to have the engine replaced on her 2006 Nissan Altima with 153,000 miles:      I contacted a representative with Nissan North America concerning [redacted] request.  I was advised on behalf of Nissan to have [redacted] contact Nissan Customer Assistance at 1-800-NISSAN-1 to have an official case opened for her concern.  The dealership cannot initiate this claim, it must be initiated by the customer.  Without this step beign done, this claim cannot go any further and the case will be considered closed on our part.  Unless the dealership was negligent in previous maintenance or repair, this case is with Nissan North America, and not against the dealership, as the manufacturer will have to make the decision to replace the engine.   The dealership has no maintenance records on file and only one repair on file, which was a recall performed in June of 2010.  Nissan will look into [redacted] case, and our dealership will cooperate fully with the decision of Nissan if they so decide to replace her engine. Please advise [redacted] to contact Nissan Customer Assistance at 1-800-NISSAN-1 to initiate her claim.Thank you,[redacted]General ManagerGeri Lynn Nissan
