Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 18, 2016/03/21) */ (Revdex.com - converted from original documentSee file.) We were hired by [redacted] to reroute water lines above ground in CPVC to two bathrooms, one kitchen and one laundry roomWe sent a proposal for a total of on 12-4-We received a signed proposal for on 12-6-from the home owners and were contacted later to perform the job on 2-9-We then had two plumbers on the job on 2-9-and the plumber went back on 2-10-to complete the job we were under the impression that we would be getting a check when done with the jobWhen the job was done it did not actually come to but 790,When our plumber asked for payment Mrs [redacted] informed him that was not going to happenWe then received a call at our office from an irate Mrs [redacted] who got very rude with my assistant Monica she told her that there was no way she was writing us a check today and we were not getting paid upon completion that just was not going to happenWhen asked why she said because her bank was paying this and she was not paying it out of pocketMy assistant explained to her there must be some kind of miscommunication because we were under the impression we were getting paid that day, She then asked to speak with Ted and was told Ted was in the field and not at the office so she was transferred to the ownerShe got very snotty with him and told him the same thing the owner told her that that was not how we worked when the job was done we got paidHe explained we supplied the materials, the plumber and completed the job and expected payment where she again said that wasn't going to happenWhen asked when she believed that check would be printed then she said when the job was doneOur part of the job was finished we did what we were contracted to do, when our plumber was there he found another issue with an outside hose bib that he brought to her attention and was told she might want to get looked atWe did not contract to fix that and it was not in our original proposalShe kept saying we were not done with the job and would not listen to anything the owner said at that time she said she was going to contact the police and asked the owner who she then called "Sparky" how he liked that and hung upWe then received a call from Connie at the realty office to tell us she would contact Huntington bank and get our check printed that day and asked if we would wait for her to call us back with the informationThe owner agreed and said if she could just let us know when payment would be made he would be fine with that which she again assured us check would be printed that dayWe received a call back from Connie about 45mins later and were told Huntington would not write a check because Mrs_ [redacted] stated the job was not done, which we then had to inform her about what our plumber found and how that was not in the original contract and our job was finishedShe then called back and informed us that Mrs[redacted] and the bank would not release funds because they now wanted the house to be inspected and could not tell us when they would do that and therefore could not tell us when payment would be released and was still enforcing the stamen that our job was not doneWe have a signed work order from a [redacted] who we were told was Mrs [redacted] sister who would be at the house while the work was performed as Mrs [redacted] had to work herselfThe work order is signed as work completeWe have no knowledge as to her elderly parents being there or anything in regards to elderly parentsWe then received a call from Deputy Dobbins of the Summit county sheriffs office who told my boss in very certain terms that he knows the [redacted] family personally, he has breakfast with them every week, and they are a cop family and if anyone from our company comes back to the residence they will be arrestedThe owner of the company told the police officer that we did not do anything illegal we performed a service and were asking about payment that was being denied and we had no intention of returning to Mrs [redacted] s residenceWe were still told how they were a cop family and basically how this police officer was almost trying to intimidate the owner because he personally knew the familyAs far as Mrs [redacted] being harassed at work no employee or representative from Ohio Plumbing ever went to her place of business nor do we know where she worksShe did email us a waiver and release to sign and send back to her and she would write the check to usThe owner signed the release and we mailed it back which she then called and said she wanted it notarized and that she would bring us the check that afternoonShe then asked what time we closed my assistant explained to her that we could get the paper notarized for her and that would be no problem and that we closed at 3:30pmShe stated she did not get off of work until 4:00pm and my assistant said she would wait for her that would be fineMrs[redacted] said she would just leave work early so that my assistant did not have to wait after workWe then took the paper to the bank on Darrow road to be notarized, which we had to wait in line until the notary was available this we could not controlWhen we arrived back at the office Mrs [redacted] was waiting in the office for the paperworkShe was given the original signed copy of her release waiver and also a copy of her written check and a receipt that was marked paidShe smiled and left the officeShe had no other contact with anyone in the office and therefore we do not understand how she was treated horribly on the office premisesShe was given the waiver, when she asked for a copy of her check she was given one and when she personally asked that the invoice be marked paid my assistant did as she was askedWe will not be calling to apologize to Mrs[redacted] as she was just as rude and nasty not only to our plumber on the site but also to my assistant and the owner of the companyApologies would be needed on both ends and we do not wish to do business with this woman anymoreWe do not appreciate her using a police station for personal reasons and being accused of things our company did not or had any plans to doWe do not appreciate being questioned and then not being given a chance to tell our side of the story to a police officer that was taking his job personal and not perform his duties correctlyWe were going to call the sheriffs department and report the deputy but as we already said we do not wish to deal anymore with this woman or have any contact with her in the futureWe will not be calling to apologize the job is finished, has been paid for, and no further contact is needed Thank You Ohio In response to the complaint filed by [redacted] Ohio Plumbing had attempted to telephone the [redacted] residence on occasions with no success and also physically visited the [redacted] residence on two occasionsWhen we finally made contact with the [redacted] residence we told them we could be there Saturday morning at 7:am as we needed time to complete their job as we had already scheduled other jobs later in the morningThey told us to come at 9:am which would not have given us enough time to adequately complete their job and make it to the jobs that were already scheduled that morningThere were other numerous phone calls made in attempt to schedule with the [redacted] residenceWith multiple attempts we had not reached a good time for both the plumber and the residence to be at the house when the service was scheduledAs of now this is where the situation stands and we are hoping an agreeable solution can be met between ourselves and the [redacted] ’s

I am rejecting this response because: Please be advised that I will mail you the contract Ohio Plumbing wrote upThere you will see what all was included so that you can decide for yourselfOhio Plumbing also took my old water heater which was not in the contract for them to take but they did not take the pressure tank which they said they would doThey left a big mass of leaking black fluid ALL over my basement floorThey did whatever was easy for them not what was agreed even verballyAs you can see from the contract the new boiler drains were written up in the contract and were suppose to be changedPlease note that I did not verbally or otherwise harass Ohio Plumbing workers I simply stated if this matter is not resolved I will contact the Revdex.comOhio Plumbing told me not to call them anymore so for this matter to be resolved I contacted the Revdex.comSincerely *** ***

I am rejecting this response because:
Ohio Plumbing did come to our residence on two occasions - first to review job on 12/6/17 and second time to do the work on 12/7/17. We contacted them on 12/8/17 to advise the one toilet was not working. Ohio Plumbing scheduled five appointments to come back and all five times did not show up at all and with no phone contact. On Dec 12 Ohio Plumbing did call and say they could come but unfortunately we were not able to be home without any advance notice. On Dec 22, 2017 the plumber called at 1:15 pm and advised us he would come on Saturday 12/23/17 between 9:00 and 10:00 am. On 12/23/17 at 7:03 am the plumber called to see if we were up and we replied yes and would see him between scheduled time of 9:00-10:00 am; never was a 7:30 am appointment made/not sure where Ohio Plumbing got that idea. On 12/23/17 at 10:18 a.m. I called plumber and left text message to him as per his voice mail instructions. He texted back that he didn't even know who we were. I texted back for him to call me back which he did not respond. At 10:33 a.m. I texted him again to advise not to show up if he was planning on doing so as I had to leave for an eye appointment. I contacted Ohio Plumbing on 12/26/17 and again was told someone would come on 12/27/17; which again did not happen. I feel after five appointments and five "No Shows" we have been very patient. On December 27, 2017 I told Melissa/Ohio Plumbing they could issue a credit of $120 if that would work for them. Melissa said she would check and call me back on 12/28/17 at 8:10 a.m. Again, no call back. The original job for repairing three toilets took approx. 45 min. To come back and repair the one that isn't working should not take too long. If Ohio Plumbing wants to come back and complete the work, I would be willing to have them come on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 or even Feb. 3, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. as this will give them a week or two week notice to put on their schedule. Again, Ohio Plumbing has my direct line at work [redacted]; my cell [redacted] and my home [redacted] and they have not called or talked to me since 12/27/17. Please let me know if Ohio Plumbing will come on either Saturday. Thank you.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 18, 2016/03/21) */
(Revdex.com - converted from original document. See file.)

received a signed proposal for 2500.00 on 12-6-15 from the home owners and were contacted later to perform the job on 2-9-16. We then had two plumbers on the job on 2-9-16 and the plumber went back on 2-10-16 to complete the job we were under the impression that we would be getting a check when done with the job. When the job was done it did not actually come to 2500.00 but 790,00. When our plumber asked for payment Mrs. [redacted] informed him that was not going to happen. We then received a call at our office from an irate Mrs. [redacted] who got very rude with my assistant Monica she told her that there was no way she was writing us a check today and we were not getting paid upon completion that just was not going to happen. He explained we supplied the materials, the plumber and completed the job and expected payment where she again said that wasn't going to happen. When asked when she believed that check would be printed then she said when the job was done. We did not contract to fix that and it was not in our original proposal. She kept saying we were not done with the job and would not listen to anything the owner said at that time she said she was going to contact the police and asked the owner who she then called "Sparky" how he liked that and hung up. We then received a call from Connie at the realty office to tell us she would contact Huntington bank and get our check printed that day and asked if we would wait for her to call us back with the information. The owner agreed and said if she could just let us know when payment would be made he would be fine with that which she again assured us check would be printed that day. We received a call back from Connie about 45mins later and were told Huntington would not write a check because Mrs_ [redacted] stated the job was not done, which we then had to inform her about what our plumber found and how that was not in the original contract and our job was finished. She then called back and informed us that Mrs.[redacted] and the bank would not release funds because they now wanted the house to be inspected and could not tell us when they would do that and therefore could not tell us when payment would be released and was still enforcing the stamen that our job was not done. We have a signed work order from a [redacted] who we were told was Mrs. [redacted] sister who would be at the house while the work was performed as Mrs. [redacted] had to work herself. As far as Mrs. [redacted] being harassed at work no employee or representative from Ohio Plumbing ever went to her place of business nor do we know where she works. She did email us a waiver and release to sign and send back to her and she would write the check to us. The owner signed the release and we mailed it back which she then called and said she wanted it notarized and that she would bring us the check that afternoon. She then asked what time we closed my assistant explained to her that we could get the paper notarized for her and that would be no problem and that we closed at 3:30pm. She stated she did not get off of work until 4:00pm and my assistant said she would wait for her that would be fine. Mrs.[redacted] said she would just leave work early so that my assistant did not have to wait after work. We then took the paper to the bank on Darrow road to be notarized, which we had to wait in line until the notary was available this we could not control. When we arrived back at the office Mrs. [redacted] was waiting in the office for the paperwork. She was given the original signed copy of her release waiver and also a copy of her written check and a receipt that was marked paid. She smiled and left the office. She had no other contact with anyone in the office and therefore we do not understand how she was treated horribly on the office premises. She was given the waiver, when she asked for a copy of her check she was given one and when she personally asked that the invoice be marked paid my assistant did as she was asked. We will not be calling to apologize to Mrs.[redacted] as she was just as rude and nasty not only to our plumber on the site but also to my assistant and the owner of the company. Apologies would be needed on both ends and we do not wish to do business with this woman anymore. We do not appreciate her using a police station for personal reasons and being accused of things our company did not or had any plans to do. We do not appreciate being questioned and then not being given a chance to tell our side of the story to a police officer that was taking his job personal and not perform his duties correctly. We were going to call the sheriffs department and report the deputy but as we already said we do not wish to deal anymore with this woman or have any contact with her in the future. We will not be calling to apologize the job is finished, has been paid for, and no further contact is needed.
Thank You

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 20, 2016/03/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The plumber that performed this work had to be asked to leave the property by a Sherrif deputy. The owner has been slanderous regarding comments made by the deputy. At no time did I swear at or speak to the offie manager until the time that I made arrangements to deliver the check. I spoke with her only to leave a message for ted who never returned my call. I was repeatedly called and my property threatened by Mr. C[redacted] as was my realtor. I did leave work early so the business was not inconvenienced. Please also see the forwarded email to Ms. [redacted] at Revdex.com with the agreement and email that was sent to the business dated Dec. 6 2015 -- prior to the work being completed. It was sent to both Ted and the office manager well before the work was done and clearly states that the business would not be paid until the work was finished properly, inspected and a two party check was sent. In short Mr. C[redacted] has no idea what he or his plumber agreed to.

We are willing to complete the work but it has to be done Monday – Friday as we have to pay overtime to have to come in on the weekend. We were originally willing to complete the job on Saturday but the [redacted]’s wanted it done on their time schedule. This is the problem we have had working with them. We have other customers scheduled and we are only able to fit the services in based on current schedules. We try to accommodate all of our customers and it is difficult for us to grant every customers demand. If they are willing to be serviced during the weekday (Monday- Friday) we will be happy to schedule an appointment.   Thank you -Jim C[redacted]
