complaint ID [redacted] To Whom it May Concern:I am writing in regard to a phone call in which I received earlier today from the Ohio State UniversityThere were several issues which were not directly addressed and felt on part the individual who contacted me did not listen nor offered a complete resolution to this issue.First and foremost, I felt the individual (K***) was actually in an attempt to be rather confrontational regarding the issue as well approached me with the sense of making it as if I did not have information correctly.Secondly, in the initial response to my complaint Ohio State claimed that someone reached out to me which was in fact not trueThe phone call in which I received this morning was the first and only personal contact I received from them since initiating this complaint.Thirdly, the issue was not dealt with sensitivity in any mannerMy overall complaint with the university was thata) I registered for courses in fall quarter I was away in another state after the death of my fatherUpon my return to Ohio I became ill in which I later learned was pneumoniaI did not attend classes at all during that quarterIt was not until I received grades for the fall quarter and a letter that I was academically dismissed my advisor did not turn in the necessary paperwork for me to drop courses.b) I was told by "K***" over the phone today that the charges were for financial aidNow, my father was a retired college professor therefore I am pretty familiar with adding/dropping coursesI had already spoken with financial aid (they suggested I contact Revdex.com regarding this issue) and they stated the overall issue is with Ohio State, no financial aid was paid out, the issue is with the bursar.c) As usual, I contact the bursar the bursar then claims it is "medical" charges and that they will "look into it"This is the same statement I received from "K***" when she called. Now my issue is especially if K [redacted] states is true:Ohio State received financial aid for courses for an entire quarter for me in which I did not attend; now stating that this is the money I must repay? The other issue I actually received grades for that fall quarter in question hence why I was "academically dismissed" from the university. While I was ill, I submitted paperwork to my advisorI learned she left the university and did not turn in my paperwork hence the retro active withdrawal. It's confusing because if I received "grades" and never attended classes, yet never attended them because I was ill but I owe financial aid back to the university. And again, every institution I have spoken with has stated the issue is with Ohio State. The other issue since Ohio State continues to bring up medical charges I was seen initially in the student clinic because I have severe allergies and asthmaI was actually told by the staff there that because I am "black" I am more susceptible to certain illnesses ( I am actually Native American/Hispanic)I later discovered when I saw a specialist on my ownthat I had pneumonia which was from allergies/asthma which I have a long standing diagnosis of.I am just attempting to get this settled for once and for all and I am to the point where I am contemplating legal action against Ohio State to resolve this issue.thank you [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
when I contacted Ohio State to follow up on a message received from Carina I was told that the charges from the tuition are still withstandingIn addition to this I was also told that the charges are from the years and 2013...the last I took classes at Ohio State was in 2007, it was not specified that these were charges from the Student Health CenterAlso, when I followed up with the Student Health Center I was told that there are no charges and the same with the Attorney General, these were charges from tuition.Another issue, is I discovered today that I am not in fact dealing with anyone from the actual Bursar's Office it is in fact a collection agency in which Ohio State utilizes

Ohio State has made adjustments to the student's account to remove tuition and fee charges related to enrollment.  We have also adjusted/removed the applicable finance charges.  The remaining charges standing with the Ohio Attorney General are for student health insurance and student health center related and cannot be removed.  Ohio State will follow up directly with the student as well.
