guys are going through thisCoincidences are always very tough to deal with on both sidesI understand that you are concerned that we did not perform the service correctly and that is why the engine failedI can assure you that is not trueIf we felt in any way that this was our fault we would have already taken care of replacing the engineWhen this kind of thing comes up there are a few steps that we go through to figure out what happened or what went wrongThe first thing we do is check if there is any oil in the carIf we made a mistake and the engine failed, it would have failed because of running out of oilThis was not your caseYour engine failed internally and the rod went through the block causing the oil to leakThere are only three things that can create engine failure when performing an oil change.Not tightening the drain plug and the plug coming out.Not tightening the oil filter or installing the incorrect oil filter and the oil leaking out.Not putting oil back in the vehicle.When I inspected your vehicle the drain plug was tight, the oil filter was tight and was the correct application and there was oil in the vehicleBut this issue did not happen overnightThis engine failed because of the vehicle being run low on oil previouslyThe reason I know this is because if a vehicle comes in low we note itWe also note any unusual issues we may come acrossOn 11-13-when we service your vehicle we noted ''no oil on dipstick!'', ''engine noise before service'', ''transmission leaks o/a'', and ''oil leaks before service''On 5-03-when we serviced your vehicle we noted ''coolant leaks before service'', ''engine noise before service'', ''no oil on dip stick!'', and ''oil leaks before service''On 12-07-when we serviced your vehicle we noted ''engine noise before service'', On 09-06-when we serviced your vehicle we noted ''no oil on dipstick''So the reason the engine failed is because of running the vehicle low on oil over and over again it developed a knockThe knock is why we kept noting engine noise before serviceIt was just a matter of time after this damaged had occurred that the engine would failBecause of these facts is why we chose not to pay for the engine replacementAgain we do value you as a customer and I am truly sorry this happened to youHowever, we did not make a mistake while servicing the vehicle and cannot pay for the engine replacementPlease if you have any other questions or concerns feel free to contact me. I was not on automatic fill with Oil Express.told them I would call when I needed oil .3 to 4 times I called them and said do not come here, not on auto fill,they kept delivering oil. I then went to another oil company and they fill tank on 3-27. On 3-28 Oil Express put oil in my tank,I will not pay as I Paid before for their mistakes.I sent them a certified letter, which I'm sending to you. Haven't heard from them,and they did receive the letter. Now I have a bill with a finance charge for month of feb/march etc, They did this to themselves,I never Signed a contract with this company.Product_Or_Service: OilAccount_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementDont feel as though I am responsible for the bill, as I told them I would callBusiness' Initial Response [redacted] has been a very good customer of ours for many years. she has been on automic delivery for most of the time and was set up for automatic delivery as well as her fuel assistance for this past winter. we have no information either by phone or in writing that she had requested us to cancel her automatic delivery. Our first notification was after her March delivery and she was then removed from automatic delivery. ThanksConsumer's Final Response Will not pay last oil bill,nothing was resolved between oil express and myself..He just talked in circles and did not answer to the truth of his company delivering oil as they pleased, I will never use this company again, needs to admit they are totally wrong?Business' Final Response Also we would like to add that we have documentation of a note logged in our computer of a call from [redacted] requesting to go back on automatic delivery for the 2012-2013 season. This note was dated August 29th 2012.
