To whom it may concern: I have reviewed the complaint that has been forwarded to me in the case of a safety and emissions issue The $charge was for the service of safety and emissions on a customers vehicle that is paid whether a car passes or not The customer then is allotted a certain amount of time to fix any issues without having to pay again As far as the test results, the Utah Highway Patrol has guidelines in which each vehicle has to pass a safety inspection If these guidelines are not met the customer has days in which to repair and a re-inspection of the vehicle is performed at no additional charge Each vehicle in our shop is jacked up using a floor jack to inspect all components of steering and suspension as we do not have a vehicle lift in order to put the vehicle entirely off the ground which may explain why the customer did not see the vehicle lifted up The emergency brake is tested on a slight hill in order to see if it is working in accordance with state law If the vehicle rolls with the emergency brake set then it does fail Law also states that any damage to the wiper blade is a fail, ietorn, bent, or broken We encourage any customer that feels that their vehicle should not be rejected due to safety issues visit the Utah Highway Patrol office and have an officer look at the failing issues In rare circumstances the officer will overturn the rejection and we can then happily sign off the vehicle Our company policy is that if the Utah Highway Patrol finds that we incorrectly failed a vehicle that we will refund the $that the safety inspection costs The other $is a separate fee for the vehicle emissions test and not the safety inspection Please encourage the customer to reach out to me and I will gladly show them exactly how we perform a safety on these items and go through it with them Robert M***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me We already have an appointment to have the vehicle looked at and we will be taking in the results after to this companyI would still like them to fix the falsified information that they put in the systems as well when we show them things are not broken that they claimed to beIf these demands are not met then I will continue to leave my negative review with the Revdex.com Sincerely, [redacted]

Again I am very sorry that you feel this way. As I stated before you can take your vehicle down to the Utah Highway Patrol office that is just off of W and I-and if they agree that these items are not failing items I would be glad to refund your money. That has been our company policy since we opened our doors in 2002. Thank you Robert M***

To whom it may concern: I have reviewed the complaint that has been forwarded to me in the case of a safety and emissions issue.  The $50.00 charge was for the service of safety and emissions on a customers vehicle that is paid whether a car passes or not.  The customer then is...

allotted a certain amount of time to fix any issues without having to pay again.  As far as the test results, the Utah Highway Patrol has guidelines in which each vehicle has to pass a safety inspection.  If these guidelines are not met the customer has 15 days in which to repair and a re-inspection of the vehicle is performed at no additional charge.  Each vehicle in our shop is jacked up using a floor jack to inspect all components of steering and suspension as we do not have a vehicle lift in order to put the vehicle entirely off the ground which may explain why the customer did not see the vehicle lifted up.  The emergency brake is tested on a slight hill in order to see if it is working in accordance with state law.  If the vehicle rolls with the emergency brake set then it does fail.  Law also states that any damage to the wiper blade is a fail, ie. torn, bent, or broken.  We encourage any customer that feels that their vehicle should not be rejected due to safety issues visit the Utah Highway Patrol office and have an officer look at the failing issues.  In rare circumstances the officer will overturn the rejection and we can then happily sign off the vehicle.  Our company policy is that if the Utah Highway Patrol finds that we incorrectly failed a vehicle that we will refund the $15.00 that the safety inspection costs.  The other $35.00 is a separate fee for the vehicle emissions test and not the safety inspection.  Please encourage the customer to reach out to me and I will gladly show them exactly how we perform a safety on these items and go through it with them.  Robert M[redacted]
