Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: My experience with this contractor has been horrible and financially devastating. There are 19 photos associated with my response, below.  I was concerned that the file size would be too large to send so I am sending the photos five at a time in additional emails. Please let me know when you have received everything. Again, I am grateful for your attention and assistance with all of this.  Please read my response to Barmar Homes Inc., written below and watch for four additional emails containing more photos. On December 2, 2015 [redacted], owner of Barmar Homes, submitted a contract document to the Revdex.com in response to my complaint regarding breach of contract and failure to perform services.   This document was sent from a fax within the Northside Independent School District Human Resources Office. The message included from Barmar Homes, Inc. stated, “A copy of the contact [sic] has been provided.” After receiving this document, I requested more information and an explanation of how it disproved the charges that Barmar Homes has failed to perform agreed upon work. In fact, I believe it corroborates my claims. [redacted] returned an eight sentence reply that still does not address the key issues in my complaint to the Revdex.com. Those issues are: Not doing the work included in the contract; failure to complete work in compliance with contract specifications; property damage, and extortion. After examining the contract document that [redacted] sent, I need to add forgery and contract fraud to my complaint. My response to [redacted]’s latest message is below.  I have responded to each sentence in BOLD type.1.      “In regards to [redacted], the work listed below has been 100% completed to date.”My understanding of “100% completed to date” means completed according to contract specifications. Work has not complied with contract specifications. Major tasks such as gutter and siding replacement have not been done. Other work allegedly performed isn’t even included in the contract that was submitted 12/2/2015.2.       “Removed & Replaced entire roof.”The contract that [redacted] submitted to the Revdex.com on 12/2/2015 states:a.       REMOVE 29.23 SQUARES OF COMP 3 TAB SHINGLEb.      REPLACE WITH 32.22 SQ WITH 25 YEAR 3 TAB SHINGLE                                    ... I.            Photos 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 – current roof damage, exposed nail heads, shingles are not 3 tab                                      ... ii.            Photos 8, 9 – evidence of roof leak 2nd storyc.       REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL VENTS                                     ... I.            Photo 10 – vents have not been replaced, they were simply painted overd.      REMOVE AND REPLACE 5 PIPE JACKS                                     ... I.            Photo 11 – roof jacks were not replaced, they were painted, and left with exposed nail headse.      R&R 1 RAIN CAP                                      ... I.            Photo 12 -  rain cap not replacedf.        R&R FLUE CAP AND EXHUAST CAP                                      ... I.            Photo 13 – the flue cap and exhaust cap have not been replaced3.       “Removed & Replaced & stained entire cedar fence”a.       Photo 14, 15 – parts of “entire” fence that have not been removed, replaced, or stained.4.       “Remove & Replaced entire fascia”a.       The contract that [redacted] submitted to the Revdex.com on 12/2/2015 states:b.      PRIME AND PAINT EXTERIOR FASCIA 11.75 LF FRONT ELEVATION c.       PAINT AND PRIME EXTERIOR FASCIA 67.18 SF RIGHT ELEVATION.d.       It includes nothing about replacing entire fascia.5.       “Removed & Replaced & stained entire soffit”a.       There is no soffit work included in the contract that was submitted to the Revdex.com on 12/2/2015.6.       “Removed all debris from job site”a.       Photo 17 – this is my son cleaning up the job siteb.      Photo 18,19,20 – debris left at job site7.       “As of this date, Barmar has only received $3,000 for labor; which does not cover the labor cost of the roof nor does it cover the extra labor cost and material for proper installation of the soffit.8.       “Therefore, due to complications and lack of cooperation with the homeowner in collecting remaining balance owed of $5,808.00 Barmar will not resume any additional work unless payment is made in full.”a.       If I have only paid $3,000, according to the contract submitted to the Revdex.com on 12/2/2015, the balance owed would be greater than $5,808.00.b.      Soffit installation is not included in the contract, but vinyl replacement, gutters, downspouts, pressure wash, window frames and screens are included. [redacted] has not completed or addressed the full scope of work listed on the document he provided.  Based on photographic evidence, I believe it is clear that [redacted], owner of Barmar Homes is lying.  Ironically, the fabricated contract he submitted to the Revdex.com on 12/2/2015  is inconsistent with his claims. This document is criminally fraudulent and my signature forged. I am aware that as a nonprofit the Revdex.com has no authority for handling criminal matters. Based on their advice and recommendations and referrals from my home owners association, I have contacted an attorney.
