This email is in response to the letter received from Revdex.com in regards to customer’s repair transaction: ***.You assigned ID# ***. Return Authorization, *** was issued to have customer to send their faulty unit in for evaluation under warranty.Customer had indicated the motor is
noisy, getting louder, questioning if the issue was the bearings. Below was our finding after receiving the customer’s unit: Motor is not turning- upon opening the device, the plate that holds the motor in place was found severely corroded and wetted with some kind of corrosive liquid.The technician was not able to remove the motor from the device as the plate that holds the motor in place was damaged.This is a case of misuse which indicates the fume extractor was used in the environment other than just fumes.Attached, please see the RA transaction and the notes marked by the technician (for your reference only).In addition, please see the picture of the unit: (File Attached)OK International warrants the product against any defects in materials or workmanship from the date of purchase for one yearHowever, this customer’s item was determined to be misused and damaged beyond repair.Please see warranty statement from our website:http://www.okinternational.com/metcal/english/globalnavigation/resources...⇄ I hope this email will answer the questions you may have.Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any further assistance. We had purchased a product (BVX-201) fume extractor that began making loud noises with in months of use(the product has a year warranty) We decided to contact them so we could get our new machine looked at and the noise fixedThey sent us a email stating they would not follow the waranty and we would have to buy a new machine with 40% offWe informed them that if they were not going to meet the warranty and fix our product we wanted it sent back so we could continue using it the way it was before, We received the product back today and the machine will not even turn on
