Okanagan Roofing

In June 2011, Okanagan Roofing, Kelowna, was hired to remove the tar and gravel roofing of the house/carport and apply a new roof using torch on Dual ply system with triple layer T system in valley of roof. There was a "Full 20 yr. transferrable warranty". In March 2015, we noticed rippling of roofing material on house and carport and separation of seams on 3 areas of roof. I called Okanagan Roofing 3 times, asking them to check roof, but they were too busy. The 4th call was not returned. It was decided to obtain quotes to repair/replace roof. In July 2015, a new roofing company replaced roof. When they removed roofing material, they found that tar paper was used as the base layer ,(it should have been a different product that is thicker and creates a better seal). The top layer had been torched to the tar paper but only at the seams, so the centre of the strips of roofing material were not adhered to the base layer at all. Some areas were not lapped properly, and they did not add strips on edge of roof to seal roof properly. I would not recommend this company for torch on roofing.
