Mrs. [redacted], Capital Heating & Cooling installed your Aprilaire 700A humidifier per the manufacturer installation manual. Your whole-home humidifier was originally installed to maintain proper humidity levels at all times (whether your furnace was on - or off.) Your whole-home humidifier is now wired to operate only while you're furnace is on. This is not recommended because when your furnace is off, your home may still need humidity adjustments. As part of our 100% satisfaction policy, our records show two service calls were dispatched at no charge to rectify your humidifier installation concerns. And, respectfully in light of your satisfaction for the duct cleaning services, I see no other reason for a refund. I'd like to extend my apologies again for the scheduling inconveniences. I don't feel offering movie tickets is adequate when asking for a refund. I have responded to Capitol Heating and Cooling specifying that I would like the installation fees refunded because they never properly installed the humidifier unit. As stated in my complaint another company was out and rewired the unit to run properly. I included their invoice in my reply to Capitol. The humidifier unit was wired to only run when the whole home fan was on, not when the furnace was on. I have also included a copy attached to this response. Thank you [redacted]
