We are actively working towards a solution with the customer.  His main concern around the security deposit return is convoluted due to the use of estimated statements rather than finalized invoices. Yes, figures were provided from an estimated statement (within the parameters of the...

law).  The client decided to go with another vendor so when the customer called the contractor from the estimate (who said they did not perform the work) the customer took that as an act of fraud, which is untrue.  We follow Landlord/Tenant law and are navigating a difficult situation with a "win-win" mentality.  Below is an excerpt from an email from one of our staff directly to the customer. The customer's Revdex.com complaint does not shed light on the entire situation. "1. When you initially had the flood .That you never reported to our Maintenance Department ,company or myself, stating that you had an issue or  maintenance emergency, you went ahead and dispatched your own vendor without approval from me. I went ahead and got owner approval to refund you the cost and specifically told you if there were any maintenance items to report them to us so that you would not be held liable. I also have voicemails and emails from you in regards to the refund of $600 in which you state that you did not call our maintenance line but rather dispatched your own vendor first. Which again I notified you not to do again, as we like to keep these items on record.2. On 04/01/17 you called in another back up in which we sent out plumbers and they had to repair the main line. At that time no additional bubbling or water damage issues were reported by you, to notify us of any other issues in which we would need repair. And as stated in your letter you do clearly state that you took it upon yourself to cut the flooring to alleviate the pressure, again never reported to us.3. As the owners and myself toured the property and did an inspection after this incident, there was no bubbling on the linoleum, as well to signify this was an issue that needed repair.I have been very upfront in my concern over the condition of the home the times I have inspected as well as when I spent over an hour doing an extensive move out inspection. I spoke with you about possible pet damages and smell that were very strong in the home in which you stated you babysit a dog, (unauthorized) and the damage to the ceilings that were not present at move in and created extensive painting and additional work .These created additional charges that could have been accessed  but were not. As well as your non-payment of rent which was also was deducted from the costs. I have always been very frank, and transparent in regards to my concerns, condition and charges. I have additionally spoken with the owner in regards to the flooring and are awaiting the final invoice for you. I do not feel at this time that any portion of my deposit estimation of charges is incorrect. "
