We were contacted By [redacted] on or about September 15-20th 2015 about a powdery glaze at the surface of the stain and clearcoat that we applied to his EXISTING exterior concrete foundation patio. I told him to take a damp towel and wipe it down and let me know if this works. A few weeks went by...

and we recieved a text that a milky looking spots appeared to come up to the surface and he sent pics so I told him I would come out and take a look at what was happening and give my thoughts but we had been having some really bad rainy weather and I also started a project in Austin that required my presence 7 days a week to meet scheduling deadlines, Holidays came around as well, nevertheless I kept in contact and was always responsive with him Via text letting him know I didnot forget about him and that I would come out there ASAP. NEVER not once did I tell him I would not come out or refused to come out and take a look at it nor did I ever not respond to his texts or calls in fact I told him if there was something we did thats causing these milky staining we would gladly take care of it! I would like to still stop by and take a look at the floor if he would like me to. But from the pictures he sent it clearly looks like there is moisture coming up from under the existing concrete foundation causing the spotting thats occuring below the stain and clearcoat we applied. This happens when there is water and moisture trapped under the existing concrete and the moisture attempts to release with heat rising trapping it when it reachs the top of the foundation where the stain and clear coat was applied where it typically would release to the surface of the existing concrete and evaporate. The clear coat is now causing a barrier so it has no where to release to from the surface causing the milky spotting. There is no way of us knowing that moisture is being trapped under the existing concrete patio prior to us applying the stain and clear coats and there were no signs of moisture stains or water stains on the surface of the existing concrete prior to the application of the stain and clearcoats.Let me know if he would like me to come out and talk to him and take a look at it and try and figure out some sort of resolution to this matter......

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I will still be open to him coming out and resolving the issue. The complaint is not about his "responding" to my text and voicemails. It's about actually coming out and taking care of the problem. The problem I have is that we are a couple of days from February and he still hasn't been out to look at the problem. That's approaching 5 months. Especially when the issue was a problem right out of the gates.....within a week to 10 days. The other problem I have is I was NEVER told that I could have a potential problem with moisture in the concrete and this could happen. If I would have been told this I would have never have had the concrete stained. I assumed that after talking to him and his years of experience in doing this and looking at his website that he is a member of the Accredited Revdex.com that he knew what he was talking about. But to make implications that well some[redacted]es concrete has moisture and this is not his issue and to put it off on me is not acceptable. Again, I was never told about this potential problem. I was told that this would last "10 years if not forever". Put yourself in my shoes. That's about a solid and strong as it gets. But to have this happen right out of the gates and not get fixed is unacceptable.

First of all we were referred to [redacted] from a friend of there's that my Partner [redacted] has done business with. We were Hired to do some minor remodeling work, remove cabinets, cut opening In a existing wall for pass through add a small wood countertop, install a track light And build a short...

wall 7'x8' and that was it. We had a site meeting with [redacted] and [redacted] and discussed the process to retain a CErtificate of occupancy from the COSA so when they would be ready to open the small sandwich salad lease space. So I offered my time at no charge to join them to go down to the COSA permitting offices together to talk to a COSA Rep about what would be needed for there lease space and type of business they wanted to open to help guide them in the right direction. We spoke to [redacted] COSA Rep and he explained the full process to them and what would be required for this type of business. [redacted] told them they would need architectural plans and drawings and details submitted to COSA for a plan review and approval process by COSA officials. I simply referred them to [redacted] a plan designer to help them with the plans required by COSA and to obtain a permit directly through [redacted] and [redacted] was hired by them to provide plans, drawings, and building permits for [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted] hired and contracted directly with [redacted] not with Ace for these services!! Ace started the work we were contracted to do and mid way we were asked to do additional work, install kitchen appliances, electrical work, etc... Ace continued to ask [redacted] when the building permit would be approved so that my plumber and electrician can pull there sub permits for the building permit that would be issued. We finished our contracted work and the building permit was still not approved by COSA. In fact the day I found out by the landlord that she was firing us the permit was still not approved by COSA until several weeks after she fired us the permit was approved. All our work was completed and we to this day have not been paid for our services in full. [redacted] and [redacted] never told Ace that they were fired she called and emailed the landlord and told them that's how I found out by the landlord. The landlord forwarded the email [redacted] sent them to me and I was shocked because we went above and beyond for them. We never told [redacted] and [redacted] that we were not going to get our trade permits and inspections but could not get them due to the building permit not being approved. We feel we did what we were hired to do per contract. We were not hired to help them open a restaurant or obtain building permits and plans and drawings!

I would like to schedule a [redacted]e and day to come out and take a look at the stained patio and try and figure out the problem and a resolution. I will contact [redacted] no later than February 17th to schedule [redacted]e and dateif that works for him and he agrees. Thanks,[redacted]
