I am rejecting this response because:Nick told me his mechanic said all the warning lights on the dash were related to the rear air suspension system being replaced with an aftermarket systemHe never said anything about the check engine code could be due to many different things or different sensorsNick guaranteed that everything was related to the suspension system which is why we agreed to purchase the vehicle and why we didn't contact him right away with the problems because we were assured it was all from the suspension systemIt took our mechanic several different appointments before he was able to diagnose the issue as it is an intermittent problemNick lied to us and told us one thing to sell the vehicle and now he is saying another thing to try and get out of the guarantee that he had given usAs of now the only acceptable response is for nick to take the vehicle back, refund the full purchase price, and pay our mechanic for all the time he has spent diagnosing the problem

Response received via fax to Revdex.com -- scan is attached; text of letter reads as follows: "This truck is a Chev with over 200K miles on itWhen they took it on the test drive they came back and said there was a engine light on itSo when I went and grabbed my scanner to see what that
might be there was no engine light onFurthur more my scanner couldn't even hook up to this truck for it was to old and my scanner does not plug in to a truck of this ageI was honest and upfront with *** the whole timeShe purchased an old truck in her price range thet suited her just fine when she left my lot.I infact did give her a copy of the purchase agrement but when she could not find it I made another copy and gave it to her yet again.I'm sorry if she was not happy with her purchase, but here at Old everything is sold we offer a warranty on every vehicle sold*** decided she did not want the warranty so there is nothing Old Auto Sales is liable forThank you and have a good day, Nicholas ***"

[redacted] called old 61 auto sales and wanted the Acadia and asked if he could hold the car, I told him it would be a $500 hold if he wanted me to pull it from my inventory and hold it for him. I also gave him an engine and transmission garauntee and explained to him that is a used car that's clean and...

a good car. [redacted] came to look over the car and found that the window switch was bad for one of the windows and he thought he felt a shimmy in the car when driving it. so I brought it in right away and had the window switch fixed and the ujoint, both minor issues I didn't have to fix but I did anyway to make a happy customer, so I called [redacted] to tell him his car is already for pick up and he said he is not interested in the car anymore and he wanted his money back. that's not how a hold works I told [redacted], he said he didn't want after market window switch in it I told him that is silly you think that way.  with all do respect I went above and beyond for [redacted] and he got buyers remorse so his deposit of the 500 he gave  to hold the car is non refundable just like any new or used car lot does in the country. sorry for your troubles [redacted]

Response received via fax to Revdex.com -- scan is attached; text of response reads as follows: "My name is Nicholas Lew [redacted], Owner of Old 61 Auto Sales, LLC.I did sell a 2007 Escalade to a [redacted] and her Husband.I purchased the Escalade from Manheim Minneapolis Auto Auction. I had the...

Escalade on my lot for a couple weeks, while on the lot it went through a dozen or so test drives, on one of the test drives a potential buyer noticed a small oil leak on the ground coming from the Escalade. I had my mechanic look at it and come to find out it needed a rear main seal. While my mechanic was fixing the seal he replaced the flex plate as well for it had a hair line crack in it. While this was going on [redacted] had contacted me already on the vehicle, for she was interested in purchasing it. I told her everything that was going on with how my mechanic was fixing it and what was being fixed. I didn't leave anything out.So when the vehicle was completed and ready to go on the lot again [redacted] came in and looked it over and wanted to take it home on a test drive. I normally don't let anyone take a vehicle for the weekend for a test drive but [redacted] seemed like a nice genuine person and had a lot of interest in the Escalade so I decided sure go for it. [redacted] took the car for a day or two to Duluth and had it checked over to her satisfaction and came back and said she really liked it but was concerned about the suspension system light on the dash and a code she got from an auto store. I told her I would have my mechanic look at it.My mechanic looked it over and said the reason he believed the suspension light was on was the fact that someone that previously had the Escalade took out the old system and put an Airbag system in it, (which) is why the light would come on. I also gave the code p0011 that [redacted] said Auto zone came up with to my mechanic he said it could be many things 1 of many sensors triggering it and that the Escalade seems to run very good. I told [redacted] everything and [redacted] made a decision to purchase the Escalade. Weeks after [redacted] had purchased the Escalade she then calls me and tells me she is having issues with the Escalade and wanted me to pay for everything. Also, the Muffler in her report would have been seen had she got the Escalade inspected before purchase.I have been upfront and honest with [redacted] throughout all this. Yes, I feel bad she is having issues with her vehicle, it's never a good thing. Its every bit of the Buyers responsibility to have things checked out before purchasing a newer vehicle. Had [redacted] paid for an inspection at any certified mechanic shop this could have been prevented. I'm no mechanic, I had given [redacted] all the information that I had known on the vehicle and that my mechanic had known on the vehicle. She never had anyone to my knowledge inspect the Escalade before she purchased it, other than an employee from Auto Zone. This is why I highly recommend to every buyer an inspection on every vehicle they purchase.[redacted] was also aware of the wonderful Extended Warranty option that Old 61 Auto Sales offers that she did not (accept), that would more than likely have covered the issue she is having.[redacted], I'm truly sorry you are having issues with a vehicle you purchased from Old 61 Auto Sales. With that being said, I have no obligation in paying for any of the issues you have for you made the decision to purchase the Escalade it's a used vehicle and is the buyers responsibility to have it looked over before the purchase. SincerelyNicholas [redacted]"
