Response received via fax to Revdex.com -- scan is attached; text of response reads as follows: "My name is Nicholas Lew [redacted] , Owner of Old Auto Sales, LLC.I did sell a Escalade to a [redacted] B [redacted] and her Husband.I purchased the Escalade from Manheim Minneapolis Auto AuctionI had the Escalade on my lot for a couple weeks, while on the lot it went through a dozen or so test drives, on one of the test drives a potential buyer noticed a small oil leak on the ground coming from the EscaladeI had my mechanic look at it and come to find out it needed a rear main sealWhile my mechanic was fixing the seal he replaced the flex plate as well for it had a hair line crack in itWhile this was going on [redacted] had contacted me already on the vehicle, for she was interested in purchasing itI told her everything that was going on with how my mechanic was fixing it and what was being fixedI didn't leave anything out.So when the vehicle was completed and ready to go on the lot again [redacted] came in and looked it over and wanted to take it home on a test driveI normally don't let anyone take a vehicle for the weekend for a test drive but [redacted] seemed like a nice genuine person and had a lot of interest in the Escalade so I decided sure go for it [redacted] took the car for a day or two to Duluth and had it checked over to her satisfaction and came back and said she really liked it but was concerned about the suspension system light on the dash and a code she got from an auto storeI told her I would have my mechanic look at it.My mechanic looked it over and said the reason he believed the suspension light was on was the fact that someone that previously had the Escalade took out the old system and put an Airbag system in it, (which) is why the light would come onI also gave the code pthat [redacted] said Auto zone came up with to my mechanic he said it could be many things of many sensors triggering it and that the Escalade seems to run very goodI told [redacted] everything and [redacted] made a decision to purchase the EscaladeWeeks after [redacted] had purchased the Escalade she then calls me and tells me she is having issues with the Escalade and wanted me to pay for everythingAlso, the Muffler in her report would have been seen had she got the Escalade inspected before purchase.I have been upfront and honest with [redacted] throughout all thisYes, I feel bad she is having issues with her vehicle, it's never a good thing. Its every bit of the Buyers responsibility to have things checked out before purchasing a newer vehicleHad [redacted] paid for an inspection at any certified mechanic shop this could have been preventedI'm no mechanic, I had given [redacted] all the information that I had known on the vehicle and that my mechanic had known on the vehicleShe never had anyone to my knowledge inspect the Escalade before she purchased it, other than an employee from Auto Zone. This is why I highly recommend to every buyer an inspection on every vehicle they purchase[redacted] was also aware of the wonderful Extended Warranty option that Old Auto Sales offers that she did not (accept), that would more than likely have covered the issue she is having.***, I'm truly sorry you are having issues with a vehicle you purchased from Old Auto SalesWith that being said, I have no obligation in paying for any of the issues you have for you made the decision to purchase the Escalade it's a used vehicle and is the buyers responsibility to have it looked over before the purchaseSincerelyNicholas [redacted] "

[redacted] called old auto sales and wanted the Acadia and asked if he could hold the car, I told him it would be a $hold if he wanted me to pull it from my inventory and hold it for himI also gave him an engine and transmission garauntee and explained to him that is a used car that's clean and a good car [redacted] came to look over the car and found that the window switch was bad for one of the windows and he thought he felt a shimmy in the car when driving itso I brought it in right away and had the window switch fixed and the ujoint, both minor issues I didn't have to fix but I did anyway to make a happy customer, so I called [redacted] to tell him his car is already for pick up and he said he is not interested in the car anymore and he wanted his money backthat's not how a hold works I told ***, he said he didn't want after market window switch in it I told him that is silly you think that way with all do respect I went above and beyond for [redacted] and he got buyers remorse so his deposit of the he gave to hold the car is non refundable just like any new or used car lot does in the countrysorry for your troubles ***, ***
