In regarding to this complain, The customer order Vegetarian Omlette which contained Bell pepper and most of our food contain black pepper for seasoning, since she is allergic to capsicum we advice that we can not cook for her....

There is no way we can have the environment cooking clear of capsicum. We issued her a refund for her food but not the drink because she wanted to keep the drink, then she wanted the whole ticket refunded after our employ refunded transaction completed. We was having problem to refund her for the drink with our POS system. After several tries to do refund to her credit card for the drink as well, we was not able to do so. We refund her with cash for the drink. She get upset that we was not able to cook her food and was not able to show her a full refund which short her drink. We did give her receipt indicate a void transaction for the food but not the drink amount. We did not treated her the way she described, Our cashier thought that our cook can do for her but after consulted with the cook that cashier realized that and informed her. We are in the service business, our customer is the most important. According to our record, her transaction credit card was voided.

On Thursday, (July2), I flew up from Los Angeles to Oakland to speak a a Film Camp for teenage girls on film distribution.
I went to lunch at the Old Brooklyn Cafe . I ordered at the counter a cheese omelet with tea and asked them to make sure that they put no red pepper on the omelet. It seems that I have developed (for reasons unknown) a severe allergy to capsicum. This was discovered after quite a few hospitalizations. I charged $20.51 having added a $2.00 tip. I sat down and immediately a lady from the back came up to me and said something about my order which was not clear to me so I smiled. She left and came back and snapped , "You go now, owner doesn't want anyone here with allergies. You go". Okay, but I asked for a refund and her reply was, "I do later, we are busy". As you imagine at this point, I simply sat there and said, "I'll wait until you can do it." Then the manager came out trying to shoo me out without refund. I thought I was in a dream. A comedy of errors ensued as they recharged me for the ice tea but refused still to issue a credit.I was shown so many receipts as they looked for mine and no one could find it so it seems. Finally then, they issued a credit but for $4 less. I asked why and the manager became angry and frantic and finally the owner threw $2.00 at me. I still have no confidence that I shall receive a credit and will not until I received my credit card statement .
Desired Settlement
From the receipts I have, it looks like I was recharged for the ice tea and one receipt which the manager tore out of my and looked liked they recharged me again for a third time. I would like a complete refund. They simply can't charge you for food a head of time and then refuse to serve you and try to harass you into leaving without a refund.

Incorrect. I ordered the spinach omelette (which is on my receipt) and asked to make sure they simply didn't use any "cayenne red pepper spice" and told them I am fine with black pepper and they took my money and I sat down. I had tea in a glass. Within seconds a woman came out very agitated, raising her voice to me that I had to leave and refused to give me a refund."You go now, you go now!" she said over and over. I simply wanted a refund and this woman simply refused. All they had to do is refund me. They were rude, I was ready to call the police. I have receipts to prove that after almost nine minutes,the first thing she did is recharge me $3.53. Why? My receipts prove this. Finally, the man came out and tried to shoo me out and I explained that now, I had been charged $20.51 for the meal which included the ice tea, then 9 minutes later charged another $3.23 and I simply wanted my money back.I have the receipts which he tried to pull from my hand . They said they'd refund me later and tried to bully me into leaving without a refund. Finally, the man refunded me $16.32? which meant that I was still short $7.42 and he was rude trying to shoo me out saying they were busy.Finally, he threw $2.00 at me so I left, still being short $5.32.All they had to do is hand me a refund. The ice tea was in a glass so why would I ask to walk out with a glass. Again, it all makes no sense except they tried to pull a fast one on me and cheat me .
I called the next day to see about my refund and they refused to speak to me. It looks like from my credit card bill they did refund me but I am sure they would not have if I didn't file this. Clearly, they tried to pull a fast one on me.

Thank you. I am satisfied with your help. Time to move on. Wish I had filmed it or called the police. They will think twice before they scam someone else. I didn't call the police (but I had the phone ready at one point) as I was there to publicly speak and jsut wanted to have lunch.
I can't imagine shooing someone out and telling them they wouldn't refund their moeny. In the end, they did.
