I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Hi,
I just wanted to clarify a few things.
1. The original quote was for $20 and was to just press the lug nut out. I then asked him the cost to install the new caliper mount (not a caliper as my rear driver side did not need a new mount), and press out the lug nut and was quoted $80, which I did agree to. I then declined the offer because we realized that I had the correct mount but [redacted] had given me the wrong hardware and the auto dealer the shop had a contract with did not have the correct hard ware in stock. It was at that point I asked them to just press out the lug and I would take care of the caliper mount installation myself.
2. After about and hour in shop the mechanic told me he would have to install my mount as he couldn't get the lug out of my old one. I specifically asked if they had the correct installation hardware, to which he replied, "This is a mechanic shop, i'm sure we have it around". I figured he would know the inventory better than myself so I agreed to have them install the mount and pay $80.  The repair was finished at 6:52PM, or thereabouts as my receipt is time stamped for that time.
3. I am sure I could get a copy of the invoice from [redacted] stating where my vehicle was picked up from and where it was dropped off at (ie The shopping plaza at Pearl and Brookpark road, and dropped in their lot) to prove that it was indeed towed to their lot. What basis do they have to make this claim? I arrived at the shop the following morning by 9:30AM and the employee who was there, recognized me from the night before and asked why my car was there again. Even the owner of the shop stated in a phone call with me that the wrong hardware had been installed.
I want this settled quickly and fairly. The mechanic knowingly installed the wrong parts on my car, both he and the owner admitted this to me. His actions caused me to have to spend additional time and money to have my car in working order. I feel they should have to compensate me for the tow, as well for a portion of the original repair. His negligence could have endangered my life as well as other passengers I may have had in my car.
