Went for a oil change and picked car up and door handle would not unlock with my key. Wish was working when I dropped it off at 730 am. On Feb 26 @ 730 am I dropped my car off for and oil change only.Saw the young man unlock my car with my keys and take in shop. Picked my vechicle up and wondered why it was not locked. I got in stopped at the service station to get gas and locked my doors. I tried to use my key to unlock and it would not unlock my doors at all with my key. I had a lock smith come and he unlocked on the passengers side of car. I called back and spoke with a young lady and she told me to bring my car back to be looked at. I arrived at 1:10pm and Mr [redacted] came to my car and said that it could have just went out suddenly. I asked how. He said he would be glad to look at it but it cost $90 just to take it apart. I said NO because is was working just fine!!!. Mr [redacted] made a smart remark staing so you think we should pay for your car to be repaired. I said yes because it could have broke in 3 hours. He said he is not going blame his staff because there is no way his staff could do such things. He proceed to walk off and acting as if he did no give a ?. I later took my car to dealer and it shows the road has been broke to the key king area and had been tapered with. My husand and I have use this company for 16+ years and to receive the worse customer service especially from the boss is a complete insult. I think the ownership may have change but the customer service is 0%%; especially since they don't take time to even listen to a woman. I work in the medical feel and if I tried a patient like that I would be fired or terminated. But most of all make my Company look really bad. I called back and all I was told " Thank you for calling back to let us know bye bye". I will certainly not do business there anymore and all the clients my husband and I have referred will not longer come back due to POOR Customer service and treating me as if I was a liar. My car can only by unlocked with a remote control which I had to go purchase one that same day. So when it goes out I guess I out of luck because my key does not work. Thanks for your time and concern.Desired SettlementJust be honest and repair side door; where someone in his shop made a mistake and to afraid to admit it because they might be terminated.And a apology for poor customer service.Business Response The automobile in question has 115,000 miles on it. All parts wear out..we cannot know or predict when that will happen. We do not feel responsible for all part failures just because it has been at our business. If the simple act of unlocking a door causes it to break then that is when it is time for it to break. Mrs. [redacted] states she saw the employee unlock the vehicle without incident. If the lock had been tampered with perhaps someone at sometime had attempted to break into the vehicle. If the lock failed the key still should have unlocked the passenger side. We have been in business for almost 40 years and have paid for many mistakes that we know we have made. She has been a customer long enough to know that we are honest and do take care of things that we should..Our employees are not afraid to tell us if they have made a mistake...we have NEVER fired an employee because of human error!!! There is virtually no way human error could have caused the lock to break anyway! The ownership has not changed and there are 3 women whom work in management so I assure you the fact that she was a woman had nothing to do with any reaction..It was that we should fix everything for free regardless of the circumstance!
