Old School Automotive Reviews (19)

I finally got a hold of him and he said he is not satisfied and is going to take me to court The vehicle came in for a transmission fluid flush, so we flushed it There is a technical service bulletin stating these torque convertors are notorious for going bad I sold this to him at cost – didn’t make a dime off it I knocked the $in labor down to $ This was a fair deal across the board I told him I could reimburse him a maximum of $400, and he said he wasn’t interested

I have taken my vehicle to Old School Automotive a few times in the past and have always been pleased with the price, services provided and customer relationsLate in 2013, our Toyota Corolla signaled a "Check Engine" light just in time for our required emissions testI took it to Old School resulting in a new mass airflow sensor replacement Assuming all was good, we got a little sidetracked and put off our emissions test towards the future due dateIn January 2014, the light came back on reading the same codeOld School then replaced the MAF twice under warranty no cost to me, the last one being an official Toyota part After finding a leak in the gasket, I agreed to pay for that repair as well, but from then on they proceeded to replace a vacuum hose and catalytic converter (a new separate code) free or charge test driving it every time to make sure the codes didn't come backThey even were going to run it by the emissions test facility themselves, but it was more convenient for me to take it in myself at that time Long story short: Old School was incredibly determined to fix what initially seemed like a minor problem, often pro bonoI wouldn't hesitate to take my car there again

at cost – didn’t make a dime off it.  I knocked the $750 in labor down to $400.  This was a fair deal across the board.  I told him I could reimburse him a maximum of $400, and he said he wasn’t interested.

Old school has treated us fairly, given prompt service. Great prices. They have gone out of their way to satisfy us. They have good customer relations. I would highly recommend them.

Hey, just letting everybody know that this is a good business. All the guys there are really helpful and do a fantastic job in the whole repair process. They were referred to me actually, by another auto shop and I couldn't be happier!

I have taken my vehicle to Old School Automotive a few times in the past and have always been pleased with the price, services provided and customer relations. Late in 2013, our Toyota Corolla signaled a "Check Engine" light just in time for our required emissions test. I took it to Old School resulting in a new mass airflow sensor replacement.

Assuming all was good, we got a little sidetracked and put off our emissions test towards the future due date. In January 2014, the light came back on reading the same code. Old School then replaced the MAF twice under warranty no cost to me, the last one being an official Toyota part.

After finding a leak in the gasket, I agreed to pay for that repair as well, but from then on they proceeded to replace a vacuum hose and catalytic converter (a new separate code) free or charge test driving it every time to make sure the codes didn't come back. They even were going to run it by the emissions test facility themselves, but it was more convenient for me to take it in myself at that time.

Long story short: Old School was incredibly determined to fix what initially seemed like a minor problem, often pro bono. I wouldn't hesitate to take my car there again.

The consumer's vehicle is very old.  The engine the consumer installed himself is from a bus that was in a junkyard. Of course he would be having problems with a vehicle as old as his with the incorrect motor in it. We fixed what he brought the vehicle in for. We put a distributor on because the vehicle would not start. If it was a problem with our work he could have brought it back in because the part would have still been under warranty, he did not do this. We cannot be responsible for all future repairs related to that vehicle.  He did not even pay his bill in full and we did additional work for free. We cannot do anything else for this man. The consumer should have to be able to document that his problems are related to our work.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The car is still not running. I will take it to another repair shop for an estimate and let the Revdex.com know.
