Old School Renovations

We have hired ***, (Old-School Renovations) several times over the years. ...and will bring him back again soon to continue maintenance on our home.

We first hired *** to install a chain link fence. He helped us design the installation, he shopped for best materials and price and did a really nice job. Six years later and it looks great and is rock solid.

Last year we had *** rebuild a deck that had been built poorly initially. It was shakey (literally) and the stairs were falling apart. He replaced 80% of the deck, strengthened the existing foundation, replaced all decking, railings and stairs. Looks great! Rock solid! Thanks ***.

...So we kept him around to do a few more repairs:
Re do the screen on the screened porch. He replace all the wood strips that hold the screen with white PVC. With new black screen it looks great. Gives the house an entirely new look.
Also re-framed an garage access door which was rotting. Used PVC here as well. Nice clean look and smooth functioning door.

The PVC was new to us (and a bit pricier than wood) but is amazing looking and will last much longer.

Hurricane Florence wind exposed a leak/damaged an area of roof on the back of our home (rain leaked onto and stained our dinette ceiling) so we hired *** to replace the roof area ( approx. 30' x 16' ). In process he replaced plywood panels, upgraded the material (paper?) that lays under the shingles (he had found that the home builders used insufficient material for the low roof pitch). So were good! Dry as a bone. Someday I'll touch up the ceiling :-)

Oh yes, at some point we had *** and Co. remove a few medium-sized trees.

Always friendly, always honest, very meticulous about his work. ...and much more than just top-notch restoration work.
