I purchased my Giant Roam bike ( serial # K47002739) brand new from Bicycle Roots store (Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn,NY) along with Giant kickstandI picked it up on 6/11/and not a week into riding it the right hand brake ( rear brake) started feeling squishy as bike has hydraulic brakesI took it to repair on 6/16/and they diagnosed it as having air in the line, which is unheard of for a new bike They bleed the line and nothing worked so they issued a warranty for a brand new brake ( after seeing it on 6/20/17) and they said it would take until to get hereAlso, I still don't have the kickstand which they ordered from Giant as well
I was confirmed to have a crack in the frame of my Giant Defy bike that I purchased two years agoThe bike has never been crashed and well taken care ofGiant claims to have a lifetime warranty on the frame of their frames so my local bike shop submitted a claim with GiantFor over two weeks since submitting the claim, Giant has now claimed that the frame cannot be warrantied and has not stood by their warranty
During the spring of this year I purchased a Giant Reign Advanced The bike was purchased directly through Giant while I was working at Skagit Cycle Center in Burlington Washington Giant states on their website that "Giant warrants the frame and rigid fork of each new Giant brand bicycle and Giant brand frameset to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the bicycle." About a month and a half ago I found cracks in the carbon below the lower shock mount I immediately took the bike back to Skagit Cycle Center to have an employee there get in contact with Giant about a replacement as I no longer worked there Cody Jones at Skagit Cycle Center told me he would get in touch with Giant the following Monday It has been over a month and a half and Giant has given us no definitive answer as to whether they will be replacing my frame I have repeatedly checked in with Cody Jones and he has said the reps at Giant have barely ret
