I’ve reviewed the information sent by the customerI did not find any correspondence from the customer as they’ve stated in the form of a protest letterWhen the call was originally generated, we sent a technician out to repair a garage door opener or install one depending on age and or model of the existingDuring that call, the service dispatcher did state to the customer of our minimum service and labor chargesThey were ok with those charges and scheduled the appointmentWhat the technician found was when he arrived was the garage was full of personal items impeding the technicians ability to perform any workThe customer should have been conscience of this basic necessity prior to the technician’s arrivalBased on this, the technician should be allowed to charge for his time to drive to the customers home and for the time he spent discussing the options of whether to repair or replace
Poor workmanship, worthless warranty, sharp business practices
Ole and Lena's fitted a new garage door for my property, replacing the door, tracks, spring, etcThe door didn't close fully, I was advised it wasn't possible to make it do so as the ground wasn't completely level, I believed them but this later proved to be and a good indication of their incompetent workmanship, and dire customer serviceA few weeks later while trying to close the door, the tracks came away from the wall leaving the door hanging openThis was a Sunday afternoon, and I was advised they wouldn't do warranty work during an evening or on a weekendAs the open door constituted both a safety and security issue I had no option but to pay their call out fee - an exorbitant amount, around 50% of the total cost of the new door - with installation - in the first placeWhen the door was properly fixed it did fit properly and closed fully, and the technician apologized profusely for using such patently inappropriate fixings for the track in the first placeThe door now works ok and the track seems fine - all well and good but I'm still out $because of their poor workmanship and worthless warranty
