Dear *** ***,Most of this letter does not pertain to the original complaint. Again, the ***'s have already had a person out to clean the gutter in question; therefore the original outcome they were seeking is a moot point The gutter repair was completed in a professional and timely manner on Oct6th, as per our agreementPayment was not received upon completion as per all of our past contracts (again our business relationship dates back to 2004)...it was instead received on SatOct22ndIt was not written out to my company as it properly should be They have properly done this in the past as shown in the attachment to this response. No money has been collected pertaining to the gutter cleaning...nor has it been requested. Again, the ***'s already had this work completed.I AM a reputable, reliable, and honest contractorI would not have been able to establish the reputation or in turn been in business as long as I have, if I was not...or half of what they claim me/my company to be.At this point all that the ***'s seem to be trying to accomplish is deformation of character...over work they have already chosen to have done by someone else

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Again, this contractor walked off the job prior to completion for his convenience and profit. We prudently chose to obtain services from another contractor after he abandoned the job.I would here pose the questions:Were his actions those of a reputable, decent contractor? In what business can you choose to leave the job incomplete without consequences? How would any homeowner or business maintain their property if they could not rely on an agreement being completed or honored?Contracting for services involves considerable time and scheduling on the part of the homeowner.Future potential customers need to know what to expect from this business
Regards,
*** ***

From: <oldeworldhistoric@[redacted].net>Date: Fri, Oct 21, 2016 at 10:21 AMSubject: id# [redacted]To: [redacted]@myRevdex.com.orgDear [redacted],Please find this letter in response to a complaint submitted on 10/06/2016 - id#[redacted].[redacted] ([redacted]) [redacted] called my office the week of September 23rd...

(not [redacted]).  [redacted] called stating she had a damaged (aluminum) gutter that she desired to have replaced with a [redacted] copper gutter and would a price also be given to clean only the upper gutter in the rear of the home over the bedroom.  An appointment was mutually agreed upon for Saturday Sept. 24th first thing in the morning.  After my assessment of the house two separate prices were verbally quoted via a telephone conversation to [redacted], $850.00 for the replacement of the damaged gutter and $50.00 to clean the upper back gutter.[redacted] verbally agreed to the prices. With the threat of heavy rain in the forecast I promptly placed her as a priority in my schedule and ordered the length of gutter and gathered materials necessary to complete the work. I did this to expedite and prioritize the work due to the fact that we have had a good standing business relationship since 2004. I generally have a written contract signed, but this time I trusted our long standing relationship and paid for everything with out even obtaining a deposit.  I thought we had a very good business relationship. The damaged gutter work was completed on Thursday Oct. 6th, 2016.  I did after completing the damaged gutter ask her to please find someone else to clean the upper back gutter.  You see [redacted] had wire bristle brushes installed into her gutters (thinking they would help keep the gutters from clogging).  When I had to remove the old bristle to place it into the new channel of gutter (as per her request), I was covered in filth that springs out of the gutter upon the removal of this bristle. The cleaning of the gutter was not to happen until the end of December when all of the leaves would be off of the trees (as per [redacted]'s request). But as I stated I asked her to find someone else to complete that part.  Stating this immediately gave her ample notice to find another person to clean them in the time frame she requested. They were not charged as per my companies enclosed invoice (that has been re-sent twice for payment).  All work to replace the damaged gutter was completed in full as per our agreement...however [redacted] has yet to provide payment.  Nothing has been paid to me or my company for this work.[redacted] has with held funds for work completed...therefore I would not be inclined to reconsider performing her "desired outcome" of cleaning the above mentioned gutter...which again was verbally agreed was not supposed to happen until late December.  Business Information:Olde World Historic Restorations, LLCOwner/Operator: Jeffrey S[redacted]Doylestown, PA  [redacted]Phone: ###-###-####Fax: ###-###-####Email: OldeWorldHistoric@[redacted].netWebsite: Oldeworldhistoric.comPA Reg# [redacted]Fully Insured: [redacted] - certificates provided upon request[redacted] if there is any further information you require from me please let me know.Sincerest Regards,Jeffrey S[redacted]owner/operator Olde World Historic Restorations, LLC
