Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: much of what Coral wrote was either spin or simply not true It's like the "telephone" game where she is probably the 3rd person to have been told the story(I have never talked to her about any issues) and she is either unaware of the situation or just adding her incorrect spin on the facts For starters, they flat out lied to me about the condition of the upholstery and then told me I(ME) could deliver it back to them, rather than what Coral writes about them "offering to simply pick up the boat." We came to the $to fix the worst of the cushions, and it was me who was tired of dealing with them so I just took their offer to be done with them Secondly, I'm not sure why months later is a shock? It's basic common sense, but let explain further since apparently this is a confusing point for Olinger Marine I bought the boat in the winterIt was winterized when I bought it Need I say more? Doesn't that in itself show it will be sitting in a garage for a while?? I told them it wasn't going to get it's maiden voyage until spring and it wasn't a problem for them in negotiating for that guarantee In regards to the guarantee, I don't doubt they didn't know about the problem in their shop In the shop on a "fake a lake," there is no load on the engine Even in the water(in neutral) there wasn't an issue It came when the engine was under load going through the water, or pulling a boarder That is the reason for the maiden voyage guarantee, to guarantee against defects not known And I think it's comical they are trying to blame me for a bad fuel pump This is where Coral obviously has no idea what was done because it's so far from accurate...It was a fuel problem(The fuel pump sends fuel after all), the pump couldn't put out the fuel required under load It had nothing to do with electrical, nor did I touch any part of the electrical system My boat mechanic changed a fuel filter, spark plugs and other even more basic maintence(all of which I was quite clear on as I sat with him watching him do it all despite Coral and Olinger Marine trying to blame this all on my boat mechanic going rogue) Did they really want me to call them to "ask" them if I could do maintenance on my boat while it was out of the water?? Once it goes in, it doesn't come out until the end of the summer, so when would they rather I do every man maintenance?? They told me when I bought the boat they would have somebody local take a look at it if there was a problem, but that tune changed with the problem On my maiden voyage when I found the problem, then they demanded I drive it to Idaho, over hours away, so I could pay them to diagnose it I didn't want money, I didn't demand payment, I just wanted this fixed since I was sold hook line and sinker on their pitch they did this all the time(referring to people buying sight unseen) They are the epitome of a really bad used car dealership Once you walk out the door, apparently all warranties and "nice-ities" go out the window They are blaming a bad fuel pump on an oil change and spark plug replacement I could have asked for them to reimburse me for my boat mechanics labor, but instead I'm only asking for them to live up to half of their guarantee, just asking for them to reimburse me for ONLY the part the fixed the problem, the fuel pump If Olinger Marine doesn't want to honor their word and guarantee as a dealership, then they shouldn't be in business and should be shut downIf I bought the boat as-is(as they apparently think they did and with every opportunity explain it that way), then we wouldn't be in this situation That not being the case, they are responsible for correcting faults found in the maiden voyage guarantee.Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: It appears they are ok with their current position of not honoring their warranties and have nothing further to saySeems the process would be complete with me being unsatisfied with their resolution so I am not sure how the Revdex.com concludes this mitigation process?

In this transaction, Olinger Marine entered into a purchase and sale agreement ("Agreement") with *** *** regarding the sale of a used boat *** *** purchased the boat on or about October 6, On or about the time of the purchase, the boat was fully inspected by Olinger Marine and was operating without any issues Olinger Marine then delivered the boat to *** *** in October In this transaction, Olinger Marine agreed to a "maiden voyage guarantee" that provided that Olinger Marine would guarantee the existing condition of the boat from any major mechanical/motor/v-drive issues for its first maiden voyage Olinger Marine would not have delivered the boat to *** *** had there been any problems with the boat. When *** *** received the boat, he made an immediate complaint to Olinger Marine about the condition of the upholstery Olinger Marine offered to simply pick up the boat and provide *** *** with a full refund Instead, *** *** requested that Olinger Marine give him a $discount for the purported issues with the upholstery In order to resolve this ongoing dispute with *** ***, Olinger Marine agreed to provide the $discount. Then, in May 2016(roughly months after the sale), Olinger Marine was contacted by *** *** regarding an issue he purportedly was having with the boat *** *** described that there was an electrical problem which was causing a lack of power/acceleration with the boat Olinger Marine offered to inspect the problem However, *** *** refused to deliver the boat to Olinger Marine for inspection Instead, *** *** demanded payment *** *** informed Olinger Marine that he had hired an individual to do "maintenance work" on the boat which included, but is not necessarily limited to, installing new spark plugs, wiring, and possibly work to the distributor cap This "maintenance work" was performed without the knowledge and consent of Olinger Marine Upon questioning, *** *** indicated that he didn't know the extent of the "maintenance work" which was performed on the boat Olinger Marine would note that prior to this "maintenance work", the boat was operating without any issues Only after this "maintenance work" was performed, apparently *** *** then began experiencing these problems. Upon hearing this, Olinger Marine's manager *** *** informed *** *** that the boat had been running perfectly when it had been delivered to *** *** *** *** also informed *** *** that Olinger Marine would not be responsible for mechanical problems caused by this maintenance work Clearly, this maintenance work had altered the condition of the boat from the condition the boat had been in at the time the guarantee was given by Olinger Marine It is unfortunate that *** *** is still unhappy with his purchase despite the efforts of Olinger Marine However, Olinger Marine adamantly denies *** ***'s claims that Olinger Marine's conduct violated the Idaho Consumer Protection Act.

Hi [redacted],I apologize for your bad experience. I think that some things were misinterpreted. Your warranty was submitted to indmar, they are having issues with their warranty registrations online. Once a motor sits on a shelf for so long they do not recognize the # for the motor in the warranty...

registration link online. I sent in the email to register your engine, which is their protocol for these motors. Indmar never translated your information into their program from my email. All paperwork has been sent in so that your warranty work can be taken care of. I hope your experience with your Sanger boat will be better at this point.

Review: In Novemeber 2012 - I purchased online a used 2007 21V Sanger boat. After careful review, it was stated this boat was in excellent condition - it was serviced, detailed and ready for delivery. In April 2013, I went to pick up the boat. Upon arrival they had not prepared the boat for delivery, the shrink wrap was still on, I asked to have it removed so I could take a thorough look myself. I expected a pre-delivery walk through on the details of this boat, and they had no time for me and it seemed liked they wanted to get me out as quickly as possible. Adam did not want the mechanic to give me any time as they were too busy. Brian did finally come out, had to replaced the battery, which was dead, he started the engine, without hooking water to it. When I tried to hook this up to my truck, the trailer was not equipped properly to even tow it down the road, I had to source out the correct materials elsewhere to get this unit safetly secured to my truck. When I asked for the extras I had negotiated in my original deal, I had to prove from prior correspondence with his wife that he had agreed to this. I have now unpacked these extras and found he did not supply the 2400lb fat sacks as agreed and gave me 800lb sacks instead. The next day when I put the boat in the water discovered the serpentine belt would not turn, I called Adam and he told me he would look after me. I dropped it off at a local marine shop and they found there were other issues with this boat. The shop found the battery was dead and replaced it, replaced sea pump impeller, found sea weed in cooler, replaced inner pulleys, replaced alternator, replaced distributor cap and rotor, cleaned all electrical connections of corrosion, replaced steering cable, replaced noisy blower and a general inspection of the rest of the boat for a total of $2737.64. Adam finally agreed to cover $400.00, which was credited to me. If this was serviced, detailed and ready for delivery!! Why did I have this huge repair bill?Desired Settlement: I would like Olinger Marine to refund me the remainder of these repairs as there was no way this unit was serviced and ready for delivery. Also send the 2400lb fat sacks that are were on the bill of sale as promised.

We took our ski Nautique to have the steering cable fixed. Not only did they fix our boat they did call and let us know they could not fix it! Don't do business here! They are not honest and give Zero customer service!
