Review: Here is the letter I sent them (and received no response):My name is [redacted] and I returned to Manhattan last night after a week's stay in your hotel in Room #206. On Sunday night, I was in the loft asleep at about 2:00 am (my boyfriend was asleep in the other bed) when I was awakened by a noise of something being knocked over downstairs. I went down to check it out and when I turned on the light, there were rats on our coffee table. RATS. They quickly dispersed and one ran up the stairs to the loft. I had to scream for him to wake up and that there were rats in our room. He grabbed as much of his belongings as possible and ran down the stairs. We didn't know what to do.I called the front desk and told the man on duty that we had rats in our room, and that one had just run up the stairs and was trapped up there. His completely lazy and unapologetic response was, "Well, can't you just open the door and let him out?" I said "no" and asked if he had another room we could go to. He begrudgingly said "ok" and that he would come up with some keys. He was so put out to help us it was ridiculous. We were never once apologized to.When we checked out I did not want to make a scene, because 8 hotel guests were standing there and I thought it would have been a big mess to resolve this issue right then.Our trip was ruined by your hotel. I live in Manhattan, so trust me, I know what rats look like and how run down and uncared for a place has to be to have them. I expect to be reimbursed for the full price of our stay ($1974.38 that I payed early with a check) or I will:-Seek legal action against your hotel owners-Take my grievances and story to the internet on every travel website possible-Repeat the story on my personal social media network (which is over 20,000 followers)I expect to hear from you asap to resolve this disgusting and unfathomable situation.Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: As stated in the letter above, I request a full refund for the cost of our stay in such a run-down, filthy rat-infested hotel. I urge some sort of city health inspection to make this establishment safe and healthy for the public.
