(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I LM for [redacted] days ago to contact me to meet me to discuss issues at handI have not heard back from himI just called again & left another message to contact meOn both messages I indicated to him that I would be out of town for weeks starting next Wed- the 9th Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday

This was an unprofessional job from the get-goAnd then to put a new employee in charge for half the time?? The employee even asked me some questions regarding the waterfall line- "should I cut the excess liner or not?" Now the waterfall has a leak in the liner & Mr [redacted] is accusing me of causing it even though there never was visible water coming down Over the drop in the waterfall And the fact that His employee helped me move some rocks to improve the visible ness of the water coming down Over the Rocks not underMr [redacted] was out to make a fast buck & was not interested in a quality resultWas I happy?? I guess I was initially when asked but not knowing what was proper or notI was one of his first spring jobs after a long winter & I think that I was taken advantage of Thank you for " bending an ear"

Mr *** re-opened his case in July after my response in JuneThe information he provided in July was simply recapping what was in the original complaint, so my 2nd response will be to refer to my original response in June
I carried out the signed contract we had, he stated he was happy, and now that he made changes and isn't happy, I am expected to redo the job*** was going to call me when he returned from his trip, but I never heard from him
Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to my company, but I ***'t believe I can satisfy this customer no matter what I would try to do

When I completed this job, the customer approved of the work and paid his balance due. It wasn't until a couple weeks later he contacted me to say he thought there was a leak in his pond. I suggested a couple things to check and reminded him that I had told him moving around rocks in the pond could...

put a tear/hole in the liner.
After signing the contract but before I began the job, he was indecisive and said he wasn't sure about doing the pond. I stated I would return his check and tear up the contract, but he said no he wanted to move forward.
The contract is clear on what is covered, sod, paint and a 2nd timer were not in the bid. I made suggestions that he could paint the liner an earth tone if he didn't like the black, and suggested a timer could be put on the pond to turn it on and off, but these were simply suggestions I offered to my customer. I told him I am not an electrician and wouldn't run the electrical wire for the pond. The warranty for the pond pump is per the manufacturer, there is no designated "life" of the pump.
Regarding the valve issue, I installed a ball valve to control the pressure of the drip lines because there was too much water pressure, this was not in the bid but I did as a courtesy.
Under the pond liner, I chose to use a rubber liner as a base rather than sand because of tree roots from a nearby tree. I told my customer we had to chop out some roots and there could eventually be damage to the liner from the roots. The rubber liner would stand up to that better. Sand was in the bid, but I chose to upgrade this material for better protection.
The job was proposed to take one week - it took longer due to the continued rain and the customer had gone out of town.
As the pond progressed, I asked my customer if he liked what he saw and he did. However, he was moving rocks around the pond at times even though I had told him they could damage the liner.
My customer asked me to switch the pond pump out for a bigger one, so I installed a bigger pump for him as a courtesy and for customer satisfaction. After the job was [redacted]e over 2 weeks passed before I heard from him. He called and left me a message, I called him back but his voicemail was full. He called again and left me a message and again when I tried to call back his voicemail was full. He was out of town for a period of time. We finally connected at the end of May and he told me he had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com before even talking to me. I told him I would go over to look at the pond, he said he would be gone again and didn't want me to do anything until he came back.
Again, when I finished the job and was paid, my customer was perfectly happy with the work and told me of no issues. When he did call me a couple weeks later, he said he had been talking to his family and friends and changed his option about how the pond had been built.
I will go over and troubleshoot the problem and if it is due to my workmanship, I will remedy the problem. If the liner is torn due to my customer rearranging rocks, that is not my workmanship and not covered by me. Paint was merely a suggestion for the homeowner and not in my bid, so that is not covered.
I also will honor our verbal agreement to blow out the sprinkler lines of the system I installed in the fall of 2015.
I stand behind my work and would like to reach an amicable resolution.
I have pictures of how the pond looked the day I completed it. I can also provide a copy of the signed bid/contract detailing the work that was proposed.

I have not run my waterfall or sprinkler system since it was installed. Mr [redacted] never turned on the water to the sprinkler system nor did he adjust the sprinkler heads. I informed him that one sprinkler head was missing & he said " oh, it should pop up when You turn the water on. Not A Professional response not did he resolve the issue.
He had dug several paths for various water & electrical lines but- to this day, were never filled in. I now have raccoons in my garage. I have pictures to prove.
When asked if I was happy- I didn't know what to compare it to nor did I have an automated sprinkler system at the house I now have lived in for 7 years. How many people get waterfalls to know How they should look or function??
When friends & eventually other waterfall competitors inspected my investment, they all were very dismayed at the quality of the result for the money I paid.
Mr [redacted] had 1 worker whom had only worked with [redacted] for 2 months- per my asking his employer. Half the time this employee worked by himself while [redacted] got other work bids or did "other jobs". I even helped out because I felt sorry for the guy & I thought that I could offer some assistance.
The waterfall/ has about a 7 foot flat rock drop from up top to the pool below. Guess what? The only water that fell on top of the rocks were the first 2 of about 10 flat rocks going down the drop. On other words, most of the water coming down the waterfall was Under The Rocks!! Not quite the waterfall I should have expected. Because of the lack of Visible water coming down, I did move some of the rocks to try & improve the Visible & Audible display of my waterfall with the help of his employee. I spent over $3,000 for a waterfall that never worked correctly as a proper waterfall should not do I know if my sprinkler system works since the water was never turned on nor the sprinkler heads adjusted. And what about the missing head????

This was an unprofessional job from the get-go. And then to put a new employee in charge for half the time?? The employee even asked me some questions regarding the waterfall line- "should I cut the excess liner or not?" Now the waterfall has a leak in the liner & Mr [redacted] is accusing me of causing it even though there never was visible water coming down Over the drop in the waterfall And the fact that His employee helped me move some rocks to improve the visible ness of the water coming down Over the Rocks not under. Mr [redacted] was out to make a fast buck & was not interested in a quality result. Was I happy?? I guess I was initially when asked but not knowing what was proper or not. I was one of his first spring jobs after a long winter & I think that I was taken advantage of.
Thank you for " bending an ear"
