Olson's Tractor & Hydraulics

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I sent a hose in to be repaired with my fiancée who took it to Napa Auto( who could not do the repair because they did not have the right fittings)Consequently they told her to try Olsen hydraulics - She called and told me the situation and I told her to get an estimate from them because I had not done business with them before -Olsen stated to dollars and when she went to pick up the hose the bill was over Some weeks later I personally took a hydraulic cylinder that needed repair to Olsen - Since I had already been overcharged on the hose that was repaired I made sure to ask him for an estimate on repairing the cylinder and he stated to dollars and when I went to pick it up was charged over Olsen has been in business for a number of years and should know within reason what these type repairs cost The products that he worked on were John Deere and are fairly commonEvidently, Olsen makes a practice of giving low estimates and then charges what ever he wantsI certainly wouldn't have had the work done if I had known the amounts he was going to charge .The only reason I took the cylinder to be repaired after he overcharged for hose was that I thought maybe the hose estimate was an honest mistake but the same thing happened with the cylinder-given low estimate and then charged whatever he wantsI am asking for a partial refund of (amount overcharged from highest estimate) I will probably have to take further action should he not complySincerely,*** [redacted]

In response to Mr***'s disliking of our pricing of goods and services
To begin with we do not give cost estimates on phone calls or for repairs at shop
I believe Mr*** called to get cost of a hose, we sell and make custom made hose assembliesAt that time we did not know what types of
hose or what ends where on his hose and neither did heThe cost of just the hose was closeHe wanted a hose assembly
As for John Deere Hydraulic cylinder, we do not give estimates, we cannot see inside of a cylinder no matter how long you have been in businessTo determine condition or what type of seals are required and if honing a barrel or polishing of a rod are necessaryWe do however warrant and guarantee products and services
