I purchased a pair of 'readers'on Aug 28, 2019 'which were ready made, ie., not custom lenses.
When I asked the optician (Ms ***) the price, she said they were $50 plus tax.
I paid $56.50, including HST. When I got home, I opened the glasses and noticed a price sticker on one of the arms of the glasses which read '$30.'
I returned to the store on August 30, 2019 and spoke to Ms *** about the price discrepancy. She said very curtly 'they're $50? despite the sticker price.
I left without a $20 refund, but I am wondering about the practice of making up prices as the optician sees fit.
I am 66 years old and live on a fixed income.

We apologize for the confusion - the reading glasses were mislabelled. That particular model was priced $ 50.00 retail.
This is what the consumer agreed to pay at the time of purchase. However, as a gesture of good will, we are ready to
adjust the price. Please forward an address to which we could send the refund cheque of $ 23.00. Thank you
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The price verbally quoted to me at the store was $50. Your implication that I "knew the price" is somewhat erroneous. When I got home and saw the price on the sticker as $30, and not $50, it was YOUR ERROR, not mine. You should have immediately agreed to your price error without my having to report this to the Revdex.com. Very poor customer service. I will never return to your store if that is how you treat your customers.
