I am writing in response to the complaint you received that was assigned an ID # of [redacted].
Olympia Chimney Supply Inc, only sells our products to Chimney and Hearth Professionals, We do not sell to homeowners and new customers must provide proof that...

they are in the chimney and hearth profession, Any Waranty claims should have been made through the company that either installed or serviced the liner. When and if a homeowners contacts us for sales or technical information we always refer them to their local chimney professionalOlympia Chimney does provide a Forever Warranty on all of our [redacted] chimney Liners. This forever Warranty has no time limitations and is transferable if the home is sold. It is however required that the chimney liner is cleaned and inspected on a regular basis, This is not only required by Olympia but it is also a requirement of our Underwriters Laboratories listing ([redacted]). When our liners are shipped to a customer each liner has an installation packet that has the UL required installation instructions which include the maintenance requirements, a maintenance record, warranty card, and the warranty. The maintenance requirements are clearly spelled out in the warranty and 3 other places in the packet, I have included these pages for your review.
We did ask [redacted] if his chimney was cleaned by a chimney professional anytime during the 11 years period that it was in use. He was unable to give us any specific details. We also asked if he could remember any of the companies that he used for service and he could not remember. If he has any of this information we could contact the company for proof and honor our warranty.
We would happily honor our warranty if [redacted] could give us access to any information that showed his chimney liner was cleaned at least once every 18 months.
