May 25, 2016Revdex.com PO Box 1000DuPont, WA 98327RE: *** ***To whom it may concern:Mr*** contacted us on 3/21/to service his wood swing up garage doors He advised that he would not be on site, but his daughter would
be able to provide access The service call was scheduled for 3/22/between 1pm and 3pm Upon our arrival at 2:35pm, we found the - 1960ish one-piece wood swing up doors in need of general service and adjustment We performed the service and made the necessary adjustments We also remounted the pivot arm on the left hand door as well as serviced both openers Mr***'s daughter signed the work order and we were told he would call in a credit card number for payment. On 4/18/2016, Mr*** called stating "the door is doing the same thing as before The left hand door comes off track when closing." We scheduled the "warranty call" for 4/20/and were advised thatno-one would be home At no time did Mr*** express his dissatisfaction for the service provided weeks' prior on 3/22/and there was no conversation regarding the unpaid balance Upon arrival, we found the left hand track on the left hand door to be bent This was not the condition of the doorwhen we left on 3/22/ We re-enforced the track as a temporary solution and the technician brought the information back to our office so we could discuss what would be needed to correct the issue with Mr*** We did not charge Mr*** for the second trip, but this was not a warranty issue from our workmanship from the 3/22/service.As these doors are from the late 50's, early 60's, they are obsolete and most parts are no longer available We made a couple of attempts to reach Mr*** with no return call On 4/29/2016, our bookkeeper called to inquire about payment Mr*** stated he was unhappy with the service and was not comfortable in paying He also indicated that since our last service that he had got the door running to his satisfaction This was the first time we had heard of his dissatisfaction from either service we performed We made several attempts to contact Mr*** after the call from our bookkeeper and again did not receive a return call.On 5/19/2016, we sent Mr*** a final request for payment We advised that if payment was not received by June 1, that his account would be turned over for collection Mr*** called in response to the letter and was adamant about not paying the bill and was unhappy with the service we provided We discussed coming back out and replacing the tracks, but there would be a charge as this was not warranty from the workmanship on the first call Mr*** was not willing to consider the proposalAdditionally, he stated that if we were to turn him over to collections that he would contact the Revdex.com and OMBAt this point, we have not turned this past due invoice into collections as we indicated in our letter that he would have until 6/1/to pay the invoice. We believe we are entitled to payment for the services provided We were never contacted after the initial service by Mr*** to tell us he was not satisfied Several attempts were made to contact Mr*** after the 4/29/call from our bookkeeper with no return call Mr*** was never present during either of our service calls Ido not know how we can have done anything more for Mr*** when he is not present or will not return phone calls.Regards, John M*** General Manager

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to...

complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]   I spoke with Olympia Doors July 28th.  This is what they said:I just spoke with John at Olympia Overhead Doors. He agreed we should not pay the$163.20 repair bill for new garage doors installed only 4 months earlier.  He is reimbursing our full amount.John was polite and understanding about the entire situation.  I feel his handling of this situation is very worthy of my emphasizing his professional character.  Thank you for your help.[redacted]PS -- I just checked our credit card and the return payment has been made to our account.

This is the first I have heard of this situation.  The product and labor would not be covered under warranty in the case of a power surge as this is not a defect in product or installation.
