Review: They took advantage of me because, I was unfamiliar with the disclosure that landlords and real estate agencies are supposed to provide to clients.[redacted],(a realtor with the agency),showed me an apartment at [redacted]. The apartment was bed bug infested and several tenants moved out of the unit before I moved in because of it. Missing from my lease was the Bed Bug Disclosure notice required by law. The notice is supposed to be there regardless of whether or not there were Bed Bugs reported in the unit within the last 12 months. [redacted], the manager at Olympic City, is fully aware of this law (because his agency also does property management), but when I signed my lease and the management company of my building ([redacted]) sent over the lease and accompanying paperwork, he should have noticed this legally required disclosure was missing. Also missing is a disclosure all real estate agents in NYS are supposed to provide: "NYS disclosure form for Landlord and Tenant".Real Estate Agent Disclosure Sample: http[redacted] bug disclosure sample: http[redacted]What they did is extremely unethical and disgusting! It was not my responsibility to know this information, (that's why I hired a realtor) but as licensed realtors, it is their responsibility to do the right thing, act professionally, and follow the rules. Just like [redacted], (my management company), their business practices are shady and ILLLEGAL!I was told by [redacted] (my realtor) as well as [redacted] that I would get a refund for the bad service AND real estate malpractice they are guilty of so I told her I would be by at 6pm to pick up a refund check. She was not at the office when I arrived. [redacted] tried to bribe me and refused to refund my broker fee because I said that I was reporting him to the Dividion of Licensing services.Desired Settlement: $1500.00 Broker fee
