They took $1100 from me as a deposit on August 13th, 2015 and promised to have my fence installed in a month. They were doing a back fence and a side fence for me and my neighbours. They did the back fence in about 6 weeks and made excuses about it. Then I gave them a couple of more weeks and they never came back to complete the side fence. I have called them 7 or 8 times and I left 6 messages with the owner - [redacted]. He won't return my calls. My last message was on Tuesday November 10th before lunch. I asked for a call back and stated that I would be contacting the Revdex.com. As expected, they have not come back nor returned my call. We put a deposit on fence material and install and were promised a 2-3 week time period for install. Fence was finally complete 15 weeks later.On June 2, 2015 we gave a cheque to Olympic PVC as a deposit on fence material and install. We chose them, even though they were more expensive then competitors we had originally chosen, as they said the work would be completed in 2-3 weeks weather permitting. During that 2-3 week window the weather was fantastic and there was very little (if any) rain. After this time passed week after week went by and still nothing was done. Finally on September 3, work began and they installed the poles. Work was finally completed September 22. In between these dates they only worked a couple days to complete the work. This threw our whole summer landscaping arrangements for a loop as they all were dependent on having the fence installed first. Between June 2 and September 3 Olympic made no effort to contact us to let us know the fence would be taking 5-7 times longer then expected. We did call them multiple times and were sometimes promised it would be starting right away, and sometimes left messages with the admin assistant and never received calls back. Had we been told in the beginning that it would take as long as it did we probably would have still ended up choosing Olympic. [redacted]Desired SettlementWe intend to pay the bill. Fence installation problems were not fixed as promised.In spring of 2014 Olympic Paving and Stone were contracted to build our fence. This was a joint project between three neighbors. One half of each neighbors cost was paid up front. Two seperate sub contractors installed our fence on two seperate occasions. The first install during the summer of 2014 was done quite poorly and the second install done in late fall/early winter was done much better. The west gate that was installed during the summer had some noticable issues which were identified to the two owners at time of final inspection. Both of the owners were at the inspection and guaranteed that the issues would be resolved in the spring. We shook hands on the deal and I consequently paid them in full by cheque, the second half payment of $2210.78. In the spring of 2015 I realized how difficult it was to reach either of the owners and their total lack of response to inquiries as to when the gate would be fixed. August 31, 2015 was the first time in 2015 that I heard from Olympic assuring the work would be done. The one owner then confirmed on September 8, 2015 that the work was assigned and would be completed within a week. That did not happen and when I advised them of this they finally responded on November 20, 2015 that they would contact the installer to find out why the work was not completed. That was the last I have heard from the owners. In mid April 2016 I tried again to contact and find out about the gate and what their intentions are. I have not had any response from them, I also sent an email to thier office direct, but no response. Phoning doesn't work either as they are not available for my calls. I have sent an email to them today telling them not to bother coming back to our property as the work required on the gate has been completed.Desired SettlementI am requesting a 10% refund of the total payment made to Olympic Paving and Stone for the fence installation [redacted]
