I was a tenant with Chappell for a little over years Upon terminatino of our lease, I found out what kind of people ( [redacted] and ***) really are I was told that all we had to do to receive our security deposit back from them was to pay the early termination fee of $dollars, give days notice, and pay the last month's rent we resided in the house After complying with all of the aforementioned directives, I get a letter in the mail stating that Chappell is going to keep our security deposit (based on a paragraph contained in the lease, however having in writing another agreement between us and [redacted] , the owner's wife) In addition, after receiving the first notice to keep our security deposit, then I received another one with them attempting to charge us $in unsubstantiated fees??!!?? These people are very shady and will lie, cheat, steal your money by any means necessary We were outstanding tenants of theirs, never late on our rent, cleaned the house from top to bottom before we left, and this is the treatment we get in return? I would not recommend to anyone, not even my dog, renting from these people Beware!!

In 2009, my husband and I decided to invest in an in-ground pool We did some research and decided to contract Olympic Pools because my in-laws purchased a pool from them years ago We spent more than $20k on this pool As an add on to the basic package, we paid extra to have a Hayward Color Logic light installed Hayward Company guarantee 50K hours of illumination on the life of the light Needless to say, our light lasted only years after using it less than times We live in Pennsylvania, and if we get a good three months of use out of our pool in a year, that would be a lot There was no way the light would burn out in four years In 2013, my husband called Olympic asking about replacing the light They claimed the light was out of warranty, but they would order it and come out and replace for a charge We agreed to have the light replaced, but my husband said the individuals who came out to do the work were not experts but trainees They admitted to hiring seasonal staff to do this work, which was shoddy at best Now they are back-peddling, saying they only employ tenured individuals for light fixtures They charged us $to install the light, which was not done properly Two years later, the light is not working This time we contracted an electrician to see if there is an issue with the wiring, and he found no issues with the voltage I called Hayward Lights and explained the issue They agreed to send us a new bulb with the model and serial number of the current bulbDealing with Olympic Pools has been a horrible customer experience Their Service Manager, Brian Yacheski; General Manager Richard Giamusso; and so-called owner, Anthony Santarelli, all were argumentative and arrogant They treat customers poorly and basically accused us of lying I personally contacted Hayward Company regarding the lights and the representative agreed that the problem could not be because of a defective light One time is possible, but not twice in years They alluded to the fact that poor installation is most likely the cause of the light not working This is exactly what we told the management at Olympic Pools, who argued that could never be the case Instead of trying to resolve the issue in a civil and appropriate manner, they were rude and disrespectful to us -customers who spent a lot of money on their product They said they would certainly send someone out to replace the bulb, but they would charge us for the labor (another $150) That is unacceptable They are not willing to admit culpability nor take accountability to make it right They are despicable individuals to work with, and I would not recommend Olympic to anyone looking to put in a pool We live in a very nice development and had neighbors ask where they should go for an in-ground pool, and we’ve told them our story They will not make the same mistake we did A pool is an investment and customers want to have good service even years after it is installed Buyer Beware! You will not get good service with Olympic Pools

I was a tenant with Chappell for a little over 3 years. Upon terminatino of our lease, I found out what kind of people ([redacted] and [redacted]) really are. I was told that all we had to do to receive our security deposit back from them was to pay the early termination fee of $750 dollars, give 30 days notice, and pay the last month's rent we resided in the house. After complying with all of the aforementioned directives, I get a letter in the mail stating that Chappell is going to keep our security deposit (based on a paragraph contained in the lease, however having in writing another agreement between us and [redacted], the owner's wife). In addition, after receiving the first notice to keep our security deposit, then I received another one with them attempting to charge us $650 in unsubstantiated fees??!!?? These people are very shady and will lie, cheat, steal your money by any means necessary. We were outstanding tenants of theirs, never late on our rent, cleaned the house from top to bottom before we left, and this is the treatment we get in return? I would not recommend to anyone, not even my dog, renting from these people. Beware!!

In 2009, my husband and I decided to invest in an in-ground pool. We did some research and decided to contract Olympic Pools because my in-laws purchased a pool from them 20 years ago. We spent more than $20k on this pool. As an add on to the basic package, we paid extra to have a Hayward Color Logic light installed. Hayward Company guarantee 50K hours of illumination on the life of the light. Needless to say, our light lasted only 4 years after using it less than 15 times. We live in Pennsylvania, and if we get a good three months of use out of our pool in a year, that would be a lot. There was no way the light would burn out in four years. In 2013, my husband called Olympic asking about replacing the light. They claimed the light was out of warranty, but they would order it and come out and replace for a charge. We agreed to have the light replaced, but my husband said the individuals who came out to do the work were not experts but trainees. They admitted to hiring seasonal staff to do this work, which was shoddy at best. Now they are back-peddling, saying they only employ tenured individuals for light fixtures. They charged us $150 to install the light, which was not done properly. Two years later, the light is not working. This time we contracted an electrician to see if there is an issue with the wiring, and he found no issues with the voltage. I called Hayward Lights and explained the issue. They agreed to send us a new bulb with the model and serial number of the current bulb.
Dealing with Olympic Pools has been a horrible customer experience. Their Service Manager, Brian Yacheski; General Manager Richard Giamusso; and so-called owner, Anthony Santarelli, all were argumentative and arrogant. They treat customers poorly and basically accused us of lying. I personally contacted Hayward Company regarding the lights and the representative agreed that the problem could not be because of a defective light. One time is possible, but not twice in 6 years. They alluded to the fact that poor installation is most likely the cause of the light not working. This is exactly what we told the management at Olympic Pools, who argued that could never be the case. Instead of trying to resolve the issue in a civil and appropriate manner, they were rude and disrespectful to us -customers who spent a lot of money on their product. They said they would certainly send someone out to replace the bulb, but they would charge us for the labor (another $150). That is unacceptable. They are not willing to admit culpability nor take accountability to make it right. They are despicable individuals to work with, and I would not recommend Olympic to anyone looking to put in a pool. We live in a very nice development and had neighbors ask where they should go for an in-ground pool, and we’ve told them our story. They will not make the same mistake we did. A pool is an investment and customers want to have good service even years after it is installed. Buyer Beware! You will not get good service with Olympic Pools.

If u enjoy dealing with very rude and an extremely unprofessional business then this is the realty for you.

[redacted] contacted our Wilkes Barre store manager regarding her problem and submitted an attached picture [redacted].  As shown in the picture the cover was pulled into the pool and the pool was overflowing with water,
the manager contacted a independent contractor to check...

out the pool.  After reviewing the picture the manager and contractor told [redacted] the pool could be repaired and to drain it before it collapses.  On 4/29/15 we received an attached picture [redacted] of a collapsed pool. In conclusion, this is not an improper installation, the combination of a severe winter, pressure of an over weighted winter cover pulling half of the pools frame inside the pool and the pool not being drained to relieve pressure and water overflowing the pool wall.
