Olympic Roofing, Stucco & Painting Reviews (2)

In response to Mr [redacted] 's complaint, We at Trucks Unlimited did not in any way misrepresent our vehicle We simply passed on information we had received about the vehicle from the dealership it was traded in at Also regarding the check engine light, we scanned it and told him what it was (sensor code and therefore discounted the vehicle $for that reason) Now regarding any sludge or build up in the engine, you must realize that he bought a truck with 192k miles on it and there is no engine with that many miles going to have no build up deposits Engines are mechanical, parts in them and on them wear out and need replacing, that doesn't mean the engine is bad He told me that the engine ran great for long periods of time (1hr at a time when check engine light was cleared), until the check engine light would pop on An engine in need of replacing would run bad at all times never clearing up In my personal opinion from the info he had provided me the vehicle needed a new pick up screen in the oil pan and maybe an engine flush and the vtc sensor he replaced In reference to his loss in oil pressure claim, if it had been low on oil pressure there would have been a red oil light that was on and it was not Also the oil pressure gauge always showed pressure The recommendation of using the rotella 15w-40w by my mechanic came straight from a Ford mechanic at Brinson Ford, and was recommended for a motor with higher miles Furthermore at the time of sale the vehicle was represented as NO WARRRANTY as stated in the buyers guide form he signed and dated on 3-14- This form states "YOU WILL PAY ALL COSTS FOR ANY REPAIRS" The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about this vehicle It also list some major defects that may occur in used vehicles In closing you can't expect a vehicle with almost 200k miles on it to be in new condition I hate that he had any problem with the vehicle but I know that engine was not a bad engine It ran too good when I test drove it to buy it, and when I drove it on the highway from Ennis on a minute drive back to my lot At this time to try and settle this matter, I will offer to refund $ That would be a total of $off original price which in my opinion would more than cover the amount to fix the original engine If Mr, [redacted] whishes to accept my offer we will mail him a refund checkSincerely, [redacted] ***

In response to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, We at Trucks Unlimited did not in any way misrepresent our vehicle.  We simply passed on information we had received about the vehicle from the dealership it was traded in at.  Also regarding the check engine light, we scanned it and told...

him what it was (sensor code and therefore discounted the vehicle $417.10 for that reason).  Now regarding any sludge or build up in the engine, you must realize that he bought a truck with 192k miles on it and there is no engine with that many miles going to have no build up deposits.  Engines are mechanical, parts in them and on them wear out and need replacing, that doesn't mean the engine is bad.  He told me that the engine ran great for long periods of time (1hr at a time when check engine light was cleared), until the check engine light would pop on.  An engine in need of replacing would run bad at all times never clearing up.  In my personal opinion from the info he had provided me the vehicle needed a new pick up screen in the oil pan and maybe an engine flush and the vtc sensor he replaced.  In reference to his loss in oil pressure claim, if it had been low on oil pressure there would have been a red oil light that was on and it was not.  Also the oil pressure gauge always showed normal pressure.  The recommendation of using the rotella 15w-40w by my mechanic came straight from a Ford mechanic at Brinson Ford, and was recommended for a motor with higher miles.  Furthermore at the time of sale the vehicle was represented as AS-IS NO WARRRANTY as stated in the buyers guide form he signed and dated on 3-14-2016.  This form states "YOU WILL PAY ALL COSTS FOR ANY REPAIRS".  The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about this vehicle.  It also list some major defects that may occur in used vehicles.  In closing you can't expect a vehicle  with almost 200k miles on it to be in new condition.  I hate that he had any problem with the vehicle but I know that engine was not a bad engine.  It ran too good when I test drove it to buy it, and when I drove it on the highway from Ennis on a 30 minute drive back to my lot.  At this time to try and settle this matter, I will offer to refund $582.90.  That would be a total of $1000.00 off original price which in my opinion would more than cover the amount to fix the original engine.  If Mr, [redacted] whishes to accept my offer we will mail him a refund check. Sincerely,[redacted]
