Review: The owner of the Olympic Swim and Health Club, [redacted], claimed that I had not paid in full for my membership and that I owed $100. I had already paid the $300, but she called me a liar; I had no choice so I paid another $100. After that, I learned that my insurance, [redacted], covered my health club membership. This was in April of this year. Going through many customer service agents at [redacted], and submitting two reimbursement forms with receipts (one for $300 and one for $100), I was finally given instructions from [redacted] directly in June : Olympic had to submit monthly invoices on which [redacted] would be paid. She would then give me the reimbursement until I had the entire year reimbursed. She agreed to this when asked if she would be okay with it. I explained to [redacted] that if she submitted the monthly invoices to [redacted], as she does for other members, they would send her payments even backdating January-June. I waited until the middle of July to say something to [redacted] about whether she received payments from [redacted]. (On one occasion speaking with her assistant, [redacted], I was told that the membership was approved by insurance.) She had not received payment. I waited two more weeks to say something about it. She still had not received payment. This prompted me to inquire with the insurance company. Similar to my earlier experience with the insurance company, it took many calls to be given an answer. [redacted] advised me that they would contact her by phone. Unsuccessful at getting a return call from [redacted], they sent a letter. Meanwhile, by the 17th of August I determined not to let [redacted] blow me off again. I asked her to look in her bank account to find the payment. She said she would look when she got her statement on September 8th. This was unacceptable to me and she then terminated my membership. Her profanity is just as insulting as her calling me a liar. She has done wrong by me.Desired Settlement: I used 1/3 of a yearly membership when [redacted] kicked me out. That 1/3 was covered by insurance but was not reimbursed to me. I desire payment of that 1/3 plus the 2/3 that I had paid, but am unable to use as a member since I am no longer welcome on the property.
