Omaha Travel Reviews (2)

Review: I received a fax in February advertising vacation packages. I called the #[redacted] in March and spoke with [redacted]. She explained the program telling me that all I needed to pay was $340 to initially start my travel, I had to pay $69 per person for reservations and $150 per person for resort fees so my total came to $778. I explained to her that this was going to be my 20th yr. anniversary gift to my husband, she assured me that we would be able to travel in June for our anniversay, but oh was that a joke. After my payment was made everything took a turn for the worse. Next I received papers from [redacted] for the $69 to activate my vacation, ok now I have to wait until April 12 for that paperwork. So when I get this it's another company [redacted] saying that I need to send them $99 per person for my resort fees. But I still have to wait another 30 days for that to be processed. So I called them explaining that I'm supposed to be leaving in June or July but they said that's not possible because I have to select three different dates 30 days apart and then mail that in at least 90 days in advance of my earliest date choice. That's not June or July so I called Omaha Travel and [redacted] asking for my money back both say it's nonrefundable. I can get a refund from [redacted] but I will lose $578.I don't have money to just throw away. My coworker called and they promised her that she would be able to travel within 90 days until I got on the phone after being hung up on three times. They couldn't help her after I explained that it's a scam. By the way the addresses to Omaha Travel and [redacted] are located on streets with no physical buildings and the number has changed twice since I purchased my vacation. First it was [redacted] now it's [redacted] same company. I spoke with [redacted] on both numbers until she realized it was me. I need help getting my money back. PLEASE HELP ME.Desired Settlement: I feel that I'm entitled to all my money back because these two companies are working together ripping hard working people off. They're avoiding talking to me because they know that they have taken my money.

I am rejecting this response because: the [redacted] and Omaha Travel are scamming me. I was told by both parties that I would be able to travel for my 20th Anniversary in June. There's no way in the world we would have paid money to travel in August. I have many witnesses that can verify my conversations where I'm being reassured that " Oh yeah you will be able to travel in June."I have all my paperwork and also I have a recording of another person being told the same thing that I was told. So I know for sure that they are robbing me and my husband of our money. I want all my money back because this is not fair to have to wait for a vacation that was suppose to happen next month.

I'm writing in regards to my complaint #[redacted]. I haven't heard anything since I decided to keep my complaint active. I'm still receiving emails from Omaha Travel and the number has changed 5 times since I started the process of going on my vacation. I would like to file some type of criminal charges but I'm not sure what to do. Please let me know something soon. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: the [redacted] and Omaha Travel are working together to scam people. I'm saying this because when I called on March 22, 2013.and spoke to [redacted] she said I would only get a portion of my money back. That does not make sense to get a portion when I need all my money.

Regards,

Review: Omaha Travel advertise 3 days 2 nights trips with complimentary round trip airfare for $149 per person plus an activate fee of $69 per person. You get nothing for your money. The representative tells the hotels you choose from are the [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted]. You could not trave 5 days before or after a major holiday. Once you pay the activation fee your name is passed to another company which wants you to pay ($99 per person)more for the first trip you paid $149. When you call back the first number which you made the purchase they pass you back and forth between the companies and no one will answer your questions. When you request a refund you are put on hold and disconnected. By the time you get to talk to somone the refund time frame has pass and all customer service will tell you is they don't work for the company which you called to voice your complaint. I was given six different number and four different company names which no one would answer my question. It was like they had certain answer they were told to give reguardless of the customer's question. Each number told me to call the other company. It was one big circle which the rules are put the client on hold and disconnect as soon as possible or give a different number that can't help the client.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund which I'm sure will not happen, but if my story can help someone else from making this mistake God Bless them. The three companies names in this scam are Omaha Travel, [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted]
