for her wedding in June of for a wedding on June 27th Her dates are incorrectShe did not call and cancelWe were approached about a different function at the same venue on the same dateOf course I contacted *** to see whyShe told me that they were postponing and still wanted us to do their weddingI kept in touch via email when I would clean up our reservation book, a couple of times a yearI reached her when we were no longer doing business at the Mayowood Stone BarnI did tell her that we were possibly thinking about doing small functions at our building in Kasson On April 9th I sent a final email, because I had not spoken to her in some timeI told her that I was going to remove her bid from our book if I did not hear from her On 7/15/she sent me an email stating that my prior mail had landed in her junk mail and that they would like a refundNot once in the three years has she contacted us without me starting the conversationI am sure that the deposit to the Mayowood Stone Barn was not refundedHow can you possibly think that after over three years that you can just ask for your deposit back? If you put a ring on layaway do you think that would be refundable? A deposit is a required piece, not optionalI have spoken with our attorney, Paul ***, Kasson MN and he said after three years that there is no longer a deposit Thank you for your prompt attention in this matterPlease advise at this time what is our best course of actionLori K*** (Omar's Kitchen LLC)

I am rejecting this response because: Lori's dates are incorrect and there is nothing in writing that states a refund is not given I booked spring for a wedding booked June 27, Spring 2014, I called to cancel since I was pregnant and due fall 2014; this can be be corroborated with our other vendors She encouraged me not to cancel and to simply postpone our event since they had alternatives to offer us Hesitantly, I agreedWe have had minimal since then Then this past spring she emailed me, which got lost in our junk drive I emailed back saying we were simply going to cancel and asked for a refund Since it was never told to us that refunds were not given and it is not in writing, I expect a refund of $by the end of August When we discussed it not being in writing, I never heard from the business again If this continues and a refund is not given, we may contact our attorney for legal action. *** ***
