The company contacted me and fixed the door handle, but they did a poor job fixing the screen. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

The tech showed up at my house to repair a sliding glass door. By himself (it's a big door). He wrestled it off the track (gouging and warping it on both sides so water will now be able to come into the track), dragged it on my marble floor (huge gouges in the marble that I have not been able to have buffed out), did not clean the track out properly and left it just as filthy as before he took the door off the track, didn't replace any of the nails on the bottom of the door (leaving gaping holes), borrowed a small vacuum cleaner from me and when he handed it back, it had water dripping from the intake (it's not a wet/dry vac, it's probably not a vac at all anymore), said he needed one of my workers extension cords (they were all using them) so he went to his truck and brought HIS wet/dry vac and extension cord... and that's just the short list of the nightmare. I called the company and was told a tech would come the next day to fix everything (they did not), then I got a call from the supervisor who basically denied everything, yelled at me, accused me of exaggerating the damages and problems for profit and in general made me the problem, instead of his service and his worker. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Their ad gave reasonable prices and when the tech showed up, he immediately wanted $450 to fix my sliding glass door. We finally narrowed it down to $250 to refurbish the door entirely and all he did was change the wheels. Nothing else. I held back $75 to pay my workers to fix the marble floor (which wasn't possible because after sliding an extremely heavy door on the soft marble, the gouge was just too deep. So, now I get to keep my not so beautiful anymore marble floor with deep (more than one) gouges in it for eternity. And I get yelled at by the supervisor who reneged on the deal to make me whole and fix the door properly at no additional charge, who now wants MORE pictures (I sent them 16 before they agreed to send a tech to repair the door and do the job right), and for me to film the door lock mechanism not working properly (another problem). NOPE. UNACCEPTABLE. Do not hire. My workers couldn't believe the level of incivility, rudeness, and incompetence of the worker they sent over and the supervisor was just as bad. It's a family owned business, so judging by the way they took offense at my complaint and tried to minimize the problems (and ridicule me for pointing out the problems), it's probably the son (or brother or cousin) who came to do the shoddy work. Now they say "he" doesn't want to come back because I was rude to him". Sorry, I have 3 workers who witnessed the entire thing and there was not a minute that I was rude to him. Not at all. In fact it wasn't until he left and all three of us went to look at the patio floor and the door and track again to see how to fix the marble that we realized the absolutely horrific job he'd done, at which point I immediately called the company. I shudder to think what would have happened if I'd been there alone (based on the abusive treatment I received from the supervisor and the sullen demeanor of his worker). It probably would have become a not very good situation. I probably would have had a major problem with the tech if I hadn't had my three workers standing around me when I told the tech I was going to deduct $75 from the agreed upon amount to fix the marble. He very reluctantly took it off. We were all horrified at his incompetence and rudeness. I called based on an ad in the The Miami Home Magazine. Their ads state very reasonable prices $52 off sliding door maintenance, $40 off track package, $20 off broken roller replacement (none of which were offered, none of which were done - this is a teaser ad to get you to call - don't fall for it). They tell you you'll "agree" on the price when the tech gets there, but there's no real discussion, you just get railroaded with a promise that for $250 the door will be like new and once he starts working you realize that nothing is being fixed, he just changed the wheels and put some w-d 40 on the track (which was dripping off from the top track. $250 for new wheels, a defective locking mechanism, missing screws in the door, gouged marble, deformed and warped track, such a deal!

On December 13, 2017 we contracted with the company Sliding Doors & Windows Expert to install in our home a sliding glass door and screen to replace the one we have now which is not working and over 20 years old. We gave them a deposit in the amount of $1750.00 toward the total price of the item and they said it would be about 6 weeks before installation which we agreed with. We have had several people come out to measure the area but to date still do not have the doors installed. We have had at least 6 different installation dates given to us from the company with phony excuses each time a delay with incurred or no excuses at all. This past week it was a one day delay and I was told it is only one day delay not a very long time. On that day we never got a call and no one every came. That night at 5 PM the installer called and said he could not come till the following Tuesday but we never got a call before than to advise us of another delay. We are tired of dealing with this company and their excuses and I demanded our deposit back and told them I do not want the door nor do I want to deal with this company any longer. I was told I could not get my deposit back. Also the installer said he could do it on Tuesday instead of asking us if we were free that day or had any previous commitments which we did. When I talked to the owner last night he said he would call us back today between 9 and 10 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 and let us know if an installer could come today. We never got that call either from anyone. I am sure the installer's schedule was already set at that time of the call. WE ARE TIRED OF GETTING THE RUN AROUND FROM THIS COMPANY AND WANT OUR DEPOSIT BACK.
Product_Or_Service: Sliding Glass Door and Screen
Order_Number: Invoice XXXXXA/ JOB
Account_Number: Invoice XXXXXA

Desired Outcome

Refund We would like a full refund of our deposit which was in the amount of $1750.00 made to them on 12/13/17. It is not a reputable company and they do not stick to their word nor have they given us any valid reason why the installation dates have been changed so many times. We do not want to deal with this company anymore.
