OMG Smartphone Solutions Reviews (1)

This compliant also involves (Repair, Service and Customer Service)On our about September 10, 2014 I found OMG Smartphone Solution on [redacted]...(I know bad idea) and they advertised that they can repair cracked smartphone screens. I took my phone to the for repair and in specific details prior to my visit I explained with I needed. I took my phone to him and explained again to him what I needed, and I was assured the work could be done. Mr.[redacted] the owner explained two options.Option-1. The first option consisted of only ordering the cracked glass cover and that option would be $80.00 for the repair.Option-2. Consisted on order a whole new LED with a new glass cover that cost $140.00 for the repair.I explained to him that I needed my phone repaired immediately and he said he could do it. I said it would take about 1-hour to complete. I told him to order the part and I paid for it. Upon my return from my trip to have the phone repaired is when the programs begin. He took my phone and peeled the screen off and couldn't repair it. Then he tried to outsource the repairs under the table to every to company he sent me to because our business relationship had soured. He tried to keep the part that I paid for on my phone. He wanted me to pay cash and told me that his contact don't take credit cards. Subsequently, after I went to the company he was dealing with under the table, he was taking business from an employee there without that company's knowledge. I took my phone to [redacted] for service.Product_Or_Service: 09/15/2014Desired SettlementBecause he had me purchase a piece of equipment that I have NO use for, I would like for him to credit me back my $80.00 and I give him the Cell Phone glass cover. He's unprofessional, he offers poor customer service and that is NOT the type of business I feel the public should have to deal with. Furthermore, he tried to rob [redacted] by working with someone under the table and NOT offer me a warranty. I still have the part and if I can get my $80.00 back, he can have his part.Business Response My name is [redacted] and I am responding to this complaint personally. The events transpired as such. Customer comes in to inquire about a repair. I informed customer that the phone can be repaired 1 of 2 ways. First, if possible, remove the digitizer and not replace the LCD (liquid crystal display), which would save money, but there is a chance that this process may not work due to the extent of the damage done to the digitizer. I also explained that we would not be able to determine this until we actually begin work on the phone. I informed customer of the second option, which is to removed the screen assembly completely and with this process, there would be no question in the outcome of the repair. Customer chose to take the option of removing the digitizer only, which customer calls "the glass." After 3 days, part arrived and customer brought phone in for repair. At this time, customer wanted to have the phone back within a very short amount of time (1 hour), and I did not commit, nor agree to this timeframe as the electronics within the phone are extremely delicate and cannot be rushed. Once I began working on the phone, I determined that removing the digitizer alone would not be possible cause the digitizer was worse than when customer first brought in phone, the cracks were worse. I called customer many times within a two hour window. later in the afternoon, after about two hours, customer returned my call and I informed customer that we would have to replace the complete screen. Since customer already paid 80, customer could pay the difference, the only issue would be we would have to order the part, and this would take up to 2 days for delivery. Customer responded in a very aggressive, and angry tone, said this was impossible, and that customer has federal agents waiting for him and his phone. During this time, customer walked through the store hitting tables with their fist, and scaring and intimidating other customers who saw all of this transpire. There was also a 10 year old girl who saw this and became very scared cause of this customers behavior. Even after all of the aggression and anger this customer displayed, I called around to other repair shops to see if the part could be picked up locally to fix phone same evening. I did find a place called [redacted] ([redacted]). The technician at [redacted] informed me that they did in fact have the part that the customers repair required. Customer told me that he wanted to get the phone repaired that night and that he would go to [redacted]. I then wrote down the address and phone number for the customer, including giving directions to [redacted] which is less than 1.5 miles from where we were at the time of this complaint. Customer stormed out and left. Thirty minutes later, customer returns because they had forgot the digitizer. This was the end of this situation. As far as customer making accusations with me being in cahoots with other businesses is slander and I am going to consider taking legal action due to the nature of these false accusations and slandering my name, service, beating and knocking over store fixtures, and scaring and intimidating other patrons in the store, including a 10 year old little girl. In addition, some of the people in the building saw this whole incident and have informed me that they would be willing to explain what they saw as well. In my opinion, I should have called the police, but I did not want to escalate the situation further feel bad about calling the police on a black person and get them in trouble. Consumer Response In response as to the accounts of the event are NOT true! I spoke with the OWNER of the building of the space that he is renting and the OWNER didn't recall me threating or "intimidating other patrons". I was expressing my DISMAY about he lies he told and far as calling the police if I were that big of a threat to him and the situation was escalating he should have called the police. It doesn't matter if I'm Black, White, Green or Purple. If I was doing something that was disrupting business the building owner would have told me. There were NO children in that store at the time all this took place. I have an item that serves me NO purpose and his lies are just unfounded. I wouldn't recommend his business, service or anything about OMG Smartphone Solutions to anyone for service. His advertisement is FALSE and Misleading. He need receipts that FULL disclose what he can and CANNOT do before he SUCKERS anyone else into spending money. His unprofessionalism is apparent by the lies he has told in his rebuttal statement. If I can't get a refund and return the item to him I will file a lawsuit against him in criminal court for a breach of contract services.
