My experience at El Cajon Mitsubishi So I found this used Kia online; really liked it but it’s a 1.8L so I needed to drive itThe price was higher than I wanted to finance but considering it was the car I wanted I could've worked into itSo I did my research then came down with the intent to test drive this car and maybe see what else may be on the lotI show up and tell the salesman ( [redacted] , I think he said his name wasHe later told me he was the manager) I'm looking for a small car, not too old, low mileage, “$10-12k, I should be able to find what I want in that range.” Some small talk while [redacted] showed me or cars with too many milesI told him I’d be buying in the next few days, “As soon as the insurance check arrives.” My previous car was totaled last weekI see the Kia I saw onlineI say, "What about Kia?" "Well, I have this Ford Focus." More directly, "What do you have in a Kia?" "Well, uh ..." now in front of the Kia, "This one's a Kia." "Oh, yeah? I like the look of this." I walk around it and have a look at the sticker and verify it was the car I wantedI notice the sticker price but don’t say anythingPulling the car list from his pocket"uh, I show it's on sale so that's not the priceI show on sale for $11,xxx" "Well, I’m trying for a little lower," even though I had mistakenly let slip my $10-12k range earlierI try the passenger door; locked"But ...hmmcan I get in?" [redacted] (if that is his name) does not answerI move around to the drivers door, find it unlocked, and get in; knowing visually what I would find but I wanted to get a feel for sitting in itThat was why I was here, after allI touch the steering wheel, the dash, have a look around, and give the usual, affirmative "uh huh" and other verbal signs to show interestI ask, already knowing the answer, but I want to find out if this man was going to be honest with me, "How long has it been on your lot?" "Oh, uh, more than days." Stepping out of the front seat, I ask, "Do you think you could be more specific?" "I could go in and look it up," "Okay." He made no move to go in and look it up so, after a moment I just move on"Can I get the doors unlocked so I can get in the back?" [redacted] unlocks the left rear door and pops the trunkI made some comment of liking the size of the trunk and then I get in the back seat"Oh, this is roomier than I thought it would be!" And it wasI step out and close the doorNow I just want to drive it"Well I like itIt's a bit higher than I'd like to doI was trying to get down under 10." But, inside, I know it has low mileage and a lot left on the warrantyThinking that I'm haggling, I say, "Can we do anything about p..." "No," he says, cutting me off"That's the price." -pause- That felt a little harsh; interesting sales tactic"Hmm alright," I say, thinkingI am interested in this carAnd I came here for the sole purpose of driving this car tonight"Can I take it for a drive?" "No!" "Uh, Wha'?" "No," he said, stepping to the drivers door and making a point of locking the door before closing it"This car's not going under ten." He said, turning to walk away, "So we're done!" "What? You're not going to let me drive it?" "You're not getting into this carIt's not in your range." A bit stunned and flustered now, I said something like, "What the hell, man?!" He replied, "We’re done!” "Seriously?!," “You can go!" I said, “One hundred seventy one days!” “What?” “One hundred seventy one days! That’s how long it been on this lot.” [redacted] then looked at me and said, "You should get off the lot!" and turned to walk away"What the hell, dude?!" "Go," he repeats, gesturing towards the streetBy now I'm starting to lose my st, shaken, more flustered than madSeriously, I'm thinking, I don't get to drive this car? What the heck just happened? "Whatever buddy, but you didn't need to be a d*ck about it." Apparently that set him offTurning and puffing his chest, he retorts, “What did you call me?” “I said you didn’t have to be a d*ck!” “Say that to my face!” “What do you mean, I’m right hereThat was to your face!” Now puffed up, fists clenched, he aggressively moves towards me“Say that to my face!” Realizing that this man may not be stable, I moved towards my car, which was parked in the streetHe pursued me onto the sidewalk, pumping his chest, raising his hands aggressively Once he realized that I was going to keep him at a distance he pulled out his cell phone and appeared to start taking pictures; then a picture of my license plate(well, my friend’s license plate)“Jesus, dude!” Still behind my car, “Say it to my face!” Me, next to my car, “What? D*ck? Jesus, dude! What are you talking about? This is your face! What the hell are you doing?! Think about what you’re doing!” Perhaps he actually thought about it, perhaps not, but he did turn and go back to the lotI got back into my borrowed car and sat for a minute or two hoping the shakes would go awayThey didn’tThen I thought it might be better to just goThat was my experience at El Cajon Mitsubishi

Please check my yelp review also for details In a nutshell, their sales (Mike) will lie to you and make up excuses for why a price for a vehicle that has been sitting there for a year, has gone up[Dealer invoice price] to justify why he is hiking up a price of a vehicle Next Bob (finance manager) will give you some bs reason why the vehicle is dollars more, monthly for lease, than another vehicle, that was quoted at another dealership that is dollars more than their vehicle otd price Example: Vehicle A from El Cajon, OTD price Vehicle B from XXX Dealership OTD Vehicle A monthly lease with same downpayment 400/month Vehicle B monthly lease with same downpayment 300/month Also please be advised on their business practicesTHEY WILL RUN YOUR CREDIT WITHOUT YOUR AUTHORIZATIONThe owner reached out and apologizedWhat does an apology do when there is a ding on my credit? If you really want an apology, go and get that credit check out of my credit historyYou guys put it there, you guys fix itIt was run without my consent and without informing me So buyers bewareThis is my experience, it may or may not happen to you

We had dropped off our toyota prius C that we bought here at the end of January, to leave overnight for servicesThe car was making a weird noise under the tire and we had dropped it off on Wednesday May 2, and were picking it up as stated before (sometime between 6:30-7) on Thursday May 3, They close at 5:but stated we could pick it up after as the sales section is still open, like we have done in the past when we couldn't make it before 5:pmWhen we picked up the car on Thursday night there was damage to the left front side of the car, the paint has been all scraped off and a large patch very damagedWe called first thing in the morning and were transferred about times with no explanation and terrible customer serviceWe then drove down to the dealership and asked for an explanation as to why we dropped our car off on Wednesday and picked it up Thursday damagedOnce again we were handled poorly, everyone kept leaving and saying they didn't know and the

This complaint is in addition to the one from the other day with the car damage issues from El Cajon MitsubishiWe had brought our car to a toyota service center/body shop after we were told they weren't going to fix the damage they did to our carNot only were we quoted $for the paint repairs, but we were told this was a damaged car they sold to us, a lemonWe were told the panel (that has the paint damage from previously leaving the car overnight at El Cajon) is actually a replacement panel, the front bumper needs to be replaced has major damage, and the front left fog light that has been hanging was attached by a piece of tape, we were told it was shady how it was patched up using electrical black tape and spray paintThey patched it up as best as they could before selling itThey tried telling us we "must of hit a bump" when we didn't and the body shop worker told us this car was previously damagedThe car sta

Need better service personal with better attitudeAccepts expired service coupon; insist that it's fine but when things go wrong they blame the customerStay away from car detail services unless you have free time to come back to get things done properly

I sent my girlfriend to El Cajon Mitsubishi to get the oil changed in my Mirage I bought for her there on a $coupon they had sent me in the mailThe coupon or was either in the car or not but she just needed to find itMy girlfriend said would go get it if she needed to but *** (service writer) said it was okay, she didn't need it so *** didn't even bother looking for it any further! When she picked up the car the bill was for almost $50.00! My girlfriend was disappointed and I was furious since we got shamed by *** and the service manager who would not listen or understand our point the kept saying they can not do an oil change on that car for $since it takes synthetic oil! They sold me the car and sent me the coupon because I bought the car there, they know I need services for that car and should know what oil it takes! On the top of the coupon it even says what car I have (Mitsubishi Mirage) and there is no disclosure stating anything about synthetic oil on

I signed up for a test drive which the dealership advertises a $gift card with "no strings attached." I received the following registration number for the test drive and gift card of my choice (***) :***
I arrived at PM for a 6:test drive and went directly to Mr*** *** and asked him if he needed the registration number which I had available as I had taken a snapshot of the email on ,my iphone He said, "No that's ok, you will receive a link via email to use the gift card since we don't give actual cards here"This response was odd because the initial email stated very clearly that the gift card would be available at the dealership after the test drive I spent hours at the dealership and almost purchased a purple Mirage but they did not honor their accepted online offer, so I walked away I checked my email;s last night and no" gift card link" was in my inbox I have since emailed Mr*** and have had no response
