*** ***, The Omni Corpus Christi has received your letter regarding a complaint assigned the ID ***Mr*** ** *** booked a reservation for arrival September 9, and departure September 10, on August 24, The rate he chose to book was a pre-paid non-refundable rate
which provided him a larger discount on the room rate for his stayIt is because of this that he was advised by the previously mentioned associate *** that he would not be refunded the $for his stayI have attached documentation which includes his confirmation page that shows that the rate is non-refundable as well as a screen shot from our system showing he opened this confirmation on August 24th, at 1:56pmDue to the fact that the terms of this rate include being non-refundable in the event of a cancellation we will be unable to offer a refund to this guestThank you, *** *** Revenue Manager

I am rejecting this response because:I now understand OMNI response because of non refundable reservation First time I used one of these internet sites and probably the last However, when I spoke with *** and she informed me there was no refund I told her to maintain the reservation My wife and I decided we would go ahead and use it We had figured that I could make my early Saturday golf game and still stay at the OMNI When I called Friday and the desk told me my reservation had been cancelled I thought everything had been resolved So we cancelled our reservations at the Republic and stayed close to home to celebrate my birthday I was offered another reservation when speaking to the front desk I did not accept another reservation I am glad now that I didn't because I would have paid twice for the same room! I have learned my lesson about non refundable rooms, even those that cannot be cancelled a few days after making I know that the OMNI will not miss my business but I will have some satisfaction in never staying with them or eating at one of their restaurants again
