They have threatened to send me to collections for a bill that I have already paid
On ***, I came to the emergency room due to an allergic reactionI received adequate care but was content with knowing that I was given the basic care neededI then received a bill in the mail that I then sent in to my insurance
***-Received a bill (from ***) with the reduced price of $*** due to insuranceMy hospital account number is ***
*** -I called the phone number on the bill to make the full payment using my bank debit card*** and ***I later received a transaction receipt in the mail (from ***)
*** -I received another bill in the mail (from ***) saying I have yet to pay my billI called the customer service number (*** and ***)Whoever I spoke with said that my account notes show that I had already paidThis person indicated that Via Christi was in transition to a new billing company

I had a same-day surgical procedure at Via Christi in Pittsburg on *** After their first bill arrived, I called the customer service for billing to ask for an itemization for the procedure I received one page with the description of items, the quantity used, and a dollar amount The same information was listed a second time, but this time with a minus sign listed in front of the the dollar amountNothing on it showed insurance payments or adjustments No mention of charges for the OR, IV/meds, recovery room, etcThe items totaled $*** of the $*** bill

I've made phone calls, approximately weeks apart since then, asking each time for a COMPLETE itemization(The insurance explanation of benefits lists items.) The exact same page was sent another times The employees have always been helpful on the phone, assuring me that they will put in to have it sent, and that it should be arriving in 7-days

In ***, Via Christi billed me $***We paid $*** but asked why it wasn't coveredThey said there was "no prior authorization." As of ***, I was told to "disregard that bill" every time I calledI have called Via Christi and/or their billing service: "***" at least timesAt no point did they want the "prior authorization" numberI offered it on every callMy calls were never returnedI had to initiate every call even when I was promised a call back
In *** the call was "escalated" and then I was promised a refund of $***"Allow at least days." On ***, it was again confirmed that they were paid in full in *** and that I was due a refund
THEIR billing error has had them holding on to $*** of my money for monthsI have ze
