I would just like to say thank u to omnitrace especially heather, thru them I did manage to find my birthmother, I started my search in December and I reunited with her in aprilI will say this everyone's search will be different depending on there case and how much information that you haveI only had non identifying information about my birthmother from my adoption agency so that's what I sent in and come to find out the papers omnitrace sent me back to fill out and investigate were just what I neededI'm from Texas so it went pretty fast and turns out the paper I filled out was for the state of Texas central adoption agency and they were the ones that really responded and had information on my birthmother and in return found my birthmotherNow if I would have known I could have went thru central adoption agency I would have instead of omnitrace because omnitrace costed me and central adoption dollars so yea big price differenceMy adoption was closed btw and I didn't think it was possible to find them but it was Thank the LordOmnitrace is a real company and they do deliver, you have to be patient, I was very skeptical and I called them everyday and they answered every question I had, I did research they are a real companyI'm grateful for my results

years ago I contacted Omni trace to try to find my biological parents and listened to them when they were telling me about all their success storiesAt the time I didn't think it was wrong, but when I was on the phone with them they pressured me into making a decision without talking to my wife and I went ahead and did since I had heard great things about themGranted this was all on their website so I should have been skepticalIt cost me dollars to agree for them to find out about my biological parents I reached out to them times during the years that followed and each time it was something different about what they were supposedly doing and how hard it was to find informationYesterday I got a letter in the mail basically saying how hard it is to find biological parents and how they couldn't find a thing out and they were not going to look anymoreThe sad thing is I even had the last name to my biological mother and her age and where she was from and they still couldn't help I would not recommend this company to anyone and I think there are a lot better ways to go than use a company that can't get results

Do not use this search company if you do not have the exact date of birth And if you do have the exact date of birth, please make sure you check all free online resources before hiring them (as they will do the same that you can do) If the adoptee is searching, there are many registries out there and if the adoptee is not searching, depending on the state, only the adoptee, living parent or relative of deceased parent can request information (example here in Illinois) months into the search (which amounted to the same information we had prior to hiring them) they asked me the ethnicity of my mother (information provided early on) and one of their possible matches was not of the same race
I am not filing a complaint because Omnitrace satisfies their legal obligation They just provide a search with no guarantee and you have to request updates every weeks (but not sooner) For those interested in finding an adopted person, I wanted to share my experience and frustration with the Illinois search *** who sold us the package said she had other ways of getting the information (after we had stated our limitations) but it was just a sales pitch Save your money!

I am an adopted person who sought information on my biological parents, who at one point in time, had resided in Wisconsin Wisconsin, per state law, keeps biological history sealed but will provide information regarding back stories, medial information and other circumstances relevant to child birth I had personally obtained my records from the state but the majority of personal information had been redacted (blacked out) There were a couple of clues such as my mothers first name but the majority of the report was deliberately vague
I contacted OmniTrace and they promised me that they had multiple techniques that almost guaranteed more information would be revealed As this would be a major focus of their team, producing fresh results was almost inevitable so I contracted their services
As it turned out, the OmniTrace efforts were largely identical to my own They scoured the Wisconsin supplied records and found the same details that I found They did utilize that information and compared it to a database which narrowed my birth mother down to one of individuals but no other information was provided
In summary, if you are handcuffed by the laws of a state, Omnitrace will also be handicapped You would be better off seeking out a private detective or other individual who has a proven track record on success in the state you are seeking records from

I will say this everyone's search will be different depending on there case and how much information that you have. I only had non identifying information about my birthmother from my adoption agency so that's what I sent in and come to find out the papers omnitrace sent me back to fill out and investigate were just what I needed. I'm from Texas so it went pretty fast and turns out the paper I filled out was for the state of Texas central adoption agency and they were the ones that really responded and had information on my birthmother and in return found my birthmother. Now if I would have known I could have went thru central adoption agency I would have instead of omnitrace because omnitrace costed me 1500 and central adoption 30 dollars so yea big price difference. My adoption was closed btw and I didn't think it was possible to find them but it was Thank the Lord. Omnitrace is a real company and they do deliver, you have to be patient, I was very skeptical and I called them everyday and they answered every question I had, I did research they are a real company. 3 years ago I contacted Omni trace to try to find my biological parents and listened to them when they were telling me about all their success stories. At the time I didn't think it was wrong, but when I was on the phone with them they pressured me into making a decision without talking to my wife and I went ahead and did since I had heard great things about them. Granted this was all on their website so I should have been skeptical. It cost me 1500 dollars to agree for them to find out about my biological parents.

I reached out to them 3 times during the 3 years that followed and each time it was something different about what they were supposedly doing and how hard it was to find information. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail basically saying how hard it is to find biological parents and how they couldn't find a thing out and they were not going to look anymore. The sad thing is I even had the last name to my biological mother and her age and where she was from and they still couldn't help.

I would not recommend this company to anyone and I think there are a lot better ways to go than use a company that can't get results.

I used Omnitrace to find my birth mother in 2008. I gave them the only thing I had which was a name. Very soon after, they said they could not find her. No explanation. Didn't tell me what they had done. Nothing. Cost was $1500. A lot of pay for no service.
