To this day I’m still waiting on him to return my call from an email sent on July 17th with no responseThis is an example of how attempts in the past have been made with no response on his part Please call as needed to discuss and please put my email in your records as the contact person in
the futureThanks

I told the shipper and the truck owner not to schedule for the truck to be picked up because I was still waiting on the owner to decide what to do about the additional repairs that needed to be done from JuneIf he had cancelled the shipper as suggested, he would not have had to pay himThe airline ticket that he wanted me to reimburse him for was purchased before the truck was completed for the original repairsHe said he bought this to come to Austin to get the truck, but the date are conflictingI’m not going to reduce the price on the truck due to all the time and trouble I’ve spent trying to satisfy himI did agree to not charge him for a starter I had to put on to check a dying problem, this is the most I’m willing to doThe truck is fixed for what he authorized, but now he’s says he didn’t authorize the repairs, yet I have an email from him authorizing the repairs for the estimate that was sentI have made attempts to call him and have left email messages for him to call me, and this is the most I can doI did tell him that if he did not make plans to pick up the vehicle, I would file a Mechanic’s Lien and sell it at public auctionThis is a standard procedure for shops to recover the monies they have invested in repairsHe is not waiting on meI’m waiting on himThanks*** ***George Cox Automotive Inc

I am rejecting this response because: I had them tow my truck to their facility to make repairs with a pick up date 5 months from when they took possession. I was told at the 10 month point they had never intended to make repairs. Every time a new representative speaks to me, the story about my truck changes. I was specifically told to use email as a communication, the next guy is was forced to deal with responded via email that he refused. He wanted a phone communication. He never made an attempt to reach out via phone, or in any matter. When I emailed him at the 1 year of having my truck and not repairing it, he urged me to take legal action against him. His email tag has nothing to do with Cox automotive, so not quite sure why he's even reached out to me. The company seems dishonest and unwilling to perform any work, let alone quality work.I just want my truck back. They're obviously not going to do any work, they've had it a year. Every time they tell me why it's not repaired, the name of the broken part changes. I have it all in emails

I’ve been asking this customer to call me since his first complaint filed with you in July. There has been more than 50 pages of emails exchanged, and no problems resolved. Many of his is statements are incorrect, such as me telling him to take legal action. In one of his emails that I can provide, he threatened me with legal action and I responded by telling to go ahead since he refuses to call me to try and resolve this matter. I explained to him that I am the owner and are handling this at this point. I told him I will not respond anymore to his emails and he can call me this Friday, 10-06-17 at 1:00 P.M. to discuss. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help resolve this matter, thanks.   [redacted] George Cox Automotive Inc. [redacted] Office: [redacted] Fax: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: So, after holding my truck a year and not returning it. I have established with [redacted] Cox at the time on the day he told me to call that a shipper was scheduled to pick it up. They were to do no further work on it. I mentioned that work that was done close to the time Cox picked it up had to be done again due to the truck sitting so long. My trips out there to pick it up on dates [redacted] told me it would be done by were a loss of travel expense and time off work. I also mentioned that keeping the truck out of service for the time they held it cost money as well.So I offered him $3500 on a $42 or 4600 ticket. I think that's more than fare knowing that my offer should cover parts and the wage of his employee.  Keep in mind the truck still has not been fixed. There is now more wrong with it than when it showed up. I have paid a shipper to get it today at 1pm. And now that's a loss. [redacted] reason for not releasing thus truck was because I didn't call.  He only calls me back after I call him.  He has not ever once made an attempt to reach out to me and outright refuses to communicate  via email. So my offer is 2500 if this vehicle does not leave his lot today when the shipper arrives.  I've been more than patient with the games they have played for a year. [redacted] has had weeks to solve this issue and has chosen not to after threatening to lien the truck and sell it at auction
