I started taking my dog to the kennel 2 1/2 months ago and in that time, he was bitten which required me to pay $500 in stitches and medical care, and now he has kennel cough which is directly related to a kennel being over crowded with poor ventilation. Unacceptable service and care for my pet.Product_Or_Service: Dog CareDesired SettlementPeople need to know how their dogs are being cared for in a kennel that is supposed to take care of your pets. I shouldn't have had to leave work twice because the kennel isn't paying proper attention and not taking proper procedures to ensure a safe environment.

February 2, 2015Mr. [redacted]We have drop off [redacted] and [redacted] to your facility December 20th 2014, [redacted] for 9 days of boarding and [redacted] 9 days of training and boarding. On December 29th 2014 around 10:00 AM my wife got a call from you that you have taken [redacted] to Animal Emergency center due to severe allergic reaction.I have ask you to pay for the bills and you have completely shut us off and said that its an allergic reaction and you have no control over it and therefore you are not going pay for the medical bills. Knowing that we dont know exactly what happened to [redacted] and no determination what cause the problem, you have made you conclusion that its was an allergic reaction. You yourself even told [redacted] and [redacted] Animal Hospital that you will pay for the medical bills. You also have taken [redacted] from [redacted] to [redacted] Animal Hospital on December 30, 2014.On December 30th 2014 we have spoken to Dr. [redacted] about [redacted]s condition, she said the he going to need surgery due to severe abscess that cause the swelling in his neck area. On December 31st 2014 we took [redacted] to [redacted] Veterinary Specialist for surgery (see the report attached). After the surgery he recovered and he was taken to [redacted] to recover and from there we picked him up and took him home.I have left my dogs (kids) under your care and you and your staff have failed! You have jumped to conclusion that it was a severe allergic reaction and it is clearly not. As for your request on the Medical bills, On Commands policy is the liability waiver that you signed when you first started bringing your dogs to us. We are not responsible for anything that was not our negligence or anything we had no control of. Your dog had a prior existing problem before bringing him to us. This was not anything that our company did or had any control over. We are sorry your not happy, it is On Command's policy to treat our customers with respect and provide a great service. We do handle a very large volume of dogs with a very good track record and provide a great service to all of our customers, something that we take pride in. As for the training of [redacted] you are welcome to come back and we would love to finish your training as we agreed to. We look forward to seeing you and [redacted] soon. The problem did not happen until the 9th day that he was with you and please give me a proof of how you diagnose that he had existing problem when he was dropped off. Just in case that you don't know DOGs are considered "properties" they are not considered as child or human beings, it's the same thing as you taking your car to an auto repair shop, the auto repair shop is liable for whatever happens to your car. Mr.[redacted] this is just part of being in business your liability does not go away just because you had you clients signed a waiver.If you are saying that [redacted] had existing problems why did you tell me that you guys have completed the training and he did very well and charged me for full complete training? Wouldn't you call me the next following day or so to tell me that there's something wrong with my dog?Obviously your story doesn't make sense, first it's the allergies and now he had existing problems?[redacted]Final Business Response Sorry you feel that way if you would like a waver please come by pick up a copy. I'm not going to argue with you over and over im just happy your dog is doing good.
