Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I paid the contractor to purchase and install lights that worked. He is indicating that he was only paid to install the lights, not make sure they work. He claims that he didn’t manufacture the lights and the manufacturer will not honor the warranty. The first point, why would I pay him to install defective lights? That would be the same as having someone paint your car white and the color turned yellow. He was paid because he assured me that they worked. Not until that evening that he was paid was it noticed that they were not working correctly. I sent pictures of the issues. After waiting and waiting, he finally returned to replace the lights. Again, the lights didn’t work properly. He was made aware of the issue and refused to replace the lights. The lights that were installed were not the correct lights for the installation. He installed low voltage lights when the installation required high voltage lighting. Because of this mistake, he then installed additional electrical outlets that would not have been required if he had installed the high voltage lighting. I asked him to find the lights that would work for the installation and he assured me that these lights were correct.  He also states that the manufacturer will not honor the warranty. This was a lie. I called the 1-800 number on the lighting manual, this is a brand of [redacted]. I called the number ([redacted]) and asked why they wouldn’t honor the warranty. They stated that they would honor the warranty for 90 days, no questions asked but the purchaser (contractor) would have to return them. I didn’t purchase the lights, the contractor did.    There are three scenarios that this issue falls under;1.       He never tested the lights before he installed them and unknowingly installed defective lights. This would mean that he failed to notice the problem before the installation and doesn’t want to pay his laborers to change them. This is his fault, not mine.2.       He tested the lights, they were bad, but he chose to have them installed anyway to rush completion of the lights. This is his fault, not mine.3.       He tested the lights, they were good, but the lights were damaged during the installation. Again, this is not my fault.  I tried numerous times to work this out with him to include finding lights that were better suited (high voltage) for the installation yet he chose to turn his back on me stating that I wasn’t his only client. I told him that I agree but I had already paid for the service that I didn’t receive. I paid him to find quality lights, install them correctly, and make sure they worked. He assured me that he would warranty the lights for one year. Now, he’s stating that he only warranties the installation, not the lights, which were not installed correctly because they have never worked correctly. He never even took measurements of how many lights that would be required, so that clued me in that he didn’t know how to install LED lights.  Now, to the installation. There are numerous wires hanging down. They were not secured correctly. There are holes that they drilled into the house and haven’t been sealed correctly and in some cases, not at all. He only sealed the areas that he thought I’d only see from the ground. I climbed up on the roof and found the poor workmanship. There are also sections of lighting that are falling down.  I have tried numerous times to work with him and he has turned his back on me. I now have to pay someone else to remove the old lighting, remove the additional electrical outlets, install the correct lighting and repair the damage done to my house. This is a letter from a licensed and bonded electrician;[redacted]• RGB LED tape lighting that was installed was of low quality, and therefore has issues giving off a consistent color when using the remote to change colors• Multiple different sections were used to accomplish the project so this also adds to the color consistency issues.• Sections of the RGB LED tape light do not even light up. This usually occurs when the tape light has been bent to much during installation causing a break in the fragile internal wiring and nails driven through the lights.• The low voltage transformers that power the RGB tape light and that plug into outlets are indoor rated and are plugged directly into exposed exterior outlets. Over time these should fail due to exposure to weather.• Exterior outlets should have a bubble cover over them when anything is plugged into them permanently on the exterior of the home.• The eave of the home was left exposed where the tape light was run through holes that were drilled for access. These holes are large enough for mice and bugs to gain access to the eve of the home.[redacted]None of this was my opinion. I have proof of all the conversation and pictures of the damage to my house and the lights that never worked. I can prove every statement I've made. My next step now is to file a claim with small claims court to get my money returned for the lights and the damage to my house.Regards,

Good Day, As to the email you provided….This client is an disgruntle client. We provided our services and completed the project. He paid us and we moved on. We contacted [redacted] way before the complaint because we where getting threats from this client. On Electric has a perfect...

record with [redacted] and I did not want this person to hinder that relationship. I again was contacted by [redacted] after the complaint and expressed our selves. We had used Square for the transaction of this service and the client wanted all his money back after the fact so he field a complaint with square and square retracted the money that he paid us for 90 days while Square and his bank investigated the issue. We both submitted our facts and any evidence. After 90 days On Electric was awarded the payment due to his lack of proof. This client clearly wanted work done for free and even used his Veteran status to try and use this as a wedge. This person will not change his status or mind and revoke his claims or ratings… we’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t make everyone happy. (FYI), he field the complaint with [redacted] after he was not awarded the money back by square and his bank. This is mollitious  act from this client, I believe he is trying to smear our company's name. We have done all we can do and if [redacted] does not want to remove the rating that this client submitted then their is nothing we can do..we can’t make everyone happy. We have our profile on hold due to our company working on a project out of the country, when we get back I know we will continue to provide exceilent services. Our ratings show for its self.
