Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: My mother had no idea that she was being overcharged for the job and my brother states that he was there but not for the entire time of the conversation My mother was under the impression that they were going to fix all of the imperfections in the wall and particularly an area in between the hallway and the living room where there had been a leak and the wall was damaged They did not repair any of the walls, just painted over them When my mother and I confronted the painter that was there that day, he said he was not told to make said repairs and that we needed a carpenter to fix it We have since had a painter come in and make the repair that they neglected to do Also, is it okay for them to overcharge my mother for the job because she did not know any better? In reference to Weatherguard trying to remedy the situation I spoke with Jeff initially twice On the second conversation, he said he was too busy to talk to me and would call me back to discuss the overcharge and the work He called once, as per my mother, but I was out of town and he never called back Even after I called him numerous times and asked for him to call me to remedy the situation before I took it a step further, he never did I can produce my cell phone records which would document how many times I called Jeff and how many times my calls were returned The painter called me once and said he was coming by and never did When I filed a complaint with Better Business and with Consumer Affairs, then I got another phone call and the painter came out He apologized and said he completely forgot to come out after his last phone call I showed him what we were unhappy about and he said he would fix it I never heard from him again I spoke to Jeff two weeks later and he said they were not going to fix anything since I had filed a complaint and we would just have to wait and see how things were resolved with Consumer Affairs As for the painters that gave us quotes -- two independent companies, they saw the job and had to laugh at it They quoted us less than half what Weatherguard charged and that is with the repairs to the walls I have taken pictures and attached some here I have more pictures if needed I was only allowed to attach four here.At this point, I do not want to do business with them anymore I just want my mother's money refunded so we can get someone reputable and professional to do the job right In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
As a business, Weatherguard has a responsibility to make sure that their pricing and job specifications are fair and honest, whether a family member is available to be with my mother or not. My mother agreed to the price because she understood they were going to do something different from what they did. At this point, I would be satisfied with them coming out and fixing the job they did. I have received several quotes on the job which were half or less than the price that they gave my mother from reputable and licensed businesses. I ask that they come out and do the correctly, so that we can move this process along. My last conversation with MrW***, he said that they are not going to do anything and just wait for the outcome on my complaints to Better Business and Consumer Affairs. I have attached some photos of their work

Dear to whom it may concern;I am answering/responding to complaint ID #[redacted]. WeatherGuard hasrespectably attempted resolution and contact with [redacted]. At our last servicemeeting we suggested and offered several solutions which was not acceptable to [redacted] is insisting on...

total replacement inlieu of small simplecorrections that are necessary. Weather guard has attempted since that meeting tocontact [redacted] to proceed with the corrections on several occasions withno response. We are ready, willing and able to resolve this matter. In addition anycontractors used by WeatherGuard are licensed and insured with proof. In a reasonableway we look forward to a resolution in this matter. WeatherGuard until this point in time has had zero complaints.Sincerely,[redacted]

[redacted] was not overcharged for the job, her and the salesrepresentative discussed pricing, agreed on price of $3,500.00 and signed acontract to acknowledge the agreed price. If [redacted] was not satisfied withthe price, she had no obligation to enter into contract with WeatherguardContractors Corp. If [redacted] is an elderly woman and feels she is easily takenadvantage of, perhaps her son could have stayed with her during theappointment. Mr. W[redacted] would never take advantage of anyone, he is a professionaland he did his job to the best of his ability. Mr. W[redacted] gave [redacted] a pricefor a project and [redacted] decided at that time it was an appropriate price.[redacted] had 3 days as stated in the contract to cancel; doing so would resultin a full refund of her deposit. If [redacted] felt the price was too high, she couldhave- over the 3 days, asked another contractor to come and price the job forher. [redacted] decided on the price of $3,500.00 and signed the contract, thisis no fault of Mr. W[redacted] or Weatherguard Contractors Corp. [redacted] should beheld accountable for her actions as she is a willing and able individual- andif she were not- her family should have stayed with her during the decisionmaking process. I have attached a copy of the contract between [redacted] andMr. W[redacted] on behalf of Weatherguard Contractors Corp., and it does not statethat Weatherguard is to fix any imperfections on the walls. The contract statesthat Weatherguard is only to repair the ceiling in hallway. [redacted] might haveassumed the walls would be repaired, but it is not stated in said contract norwas it discussed with Mr. W[redacted], therefore our painter is correct for notfixing any imperfections on the walls. Weatherguard Contractors Corp. has tried to reach out to [redacted] to remedy the situation regardless of Mr. W[redacted] statement that we would“wait and see how things were resolved,” which it was not confirmed that thisstatement was in fact said. Unfortunately we are only obligated to do the workthat was discussed in the contract between [redacted] and Mr. W[redacted], but ifthere is a valid complaint on the work that was done, that is covered in thecontract- Weatherguard will be more than willing to come see the issues anddiscuss a plan of action to remedy this situation.

[redacted] we have been at your home working to complete the project as diligently as possible. We needed to re-frame the ceiling to remove the metal ceiling as desired by the customer, we also needed to re frame one of the walls to properly insulate. However, we did not re-frame the kitchen/alter...

the size. We have been in contact with [redacted] throughout the entire project and have been working to complete the project in a timely manner. As of today, the granite is being installed and the project is almost completed.
