Thank you for the opportunity to respond to complaint #***, *** and Crown Paint and Body ShopOur estimate was written to market rates and BMW standardsAs we are a certified BMW shop we follow the standards set forth by the manufacturerWe do understand not every body shop uses the
same standards which can create a difference in estimates Dr***’s options were discussed with him at length and we met him in the middle on the settlement of $We have provided to Dr*** a copy of the repair order that shows on line 148, the inner pillar concern was addressedWhile we strive for excellent customer service, it is with all due respect that we cannot honor your request for a refund of the previously agreed upon and paid amount of $

I am rejecting this response because: I vehemently disagree with Crowns responseMy complaint has not been addressed and my request not been fulfilled

We are surprised to hear this as the customer stated to the manager that he was satisfied when they inspected the vehicle upon picking it upWe do wish we knew so that we could have assisted or worked together for a resolution

I am rejecting this response because: Crown's response does address the cause of the complaint. Crown did not make a due diligent effort to properly assess the damage. They deemed the vehicle repairable will it was declared total loss by another repair facility. Crown missed critical repair items including the nine pillar damage that is only marginally addressed in their repair estimate.Crown did not have the technical expertise to cut open panels for further hinge pillar evaluation that exposed serious underlying damage that lead to the total loss evaluation of the vehicle.  It is not correct to declare a vehicle repairable when it's not.It is not correct to use multiple rounds of damage assessment and come to the wrong conclusion.It is not correct to spent two months on a faulty evaluation and charge extortion fees. After all the total loss assessment was done at [redacted] in a week.If Crown would have had the same expertise and efficiency as [redacted] the relocation fee (administration and storage expenses) would not have been necessary. Crown should have handed over the repair assessment at a much earlier stage to a qualified shop, rather than persisting on an assignment that was way over their level of expertise and running up unnecessary fees.

With all due respect we disagree and stand behind our estimates.

Thank you for the opportunity to look into this and respond. We have met with our customer and corrected the issues with the scratches, etc. At this point, we believe our customer to be satisfied with the resolution and apologize for the previous concerns.
