Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The puppy was sick prior to us picking her upThe morning after we picked the puppy up, she was whimpering in pain and walking in circles while trying to urinateWith this behavior, we took the puppy to the veterinarian that dayThe vet said the puppy had a "raging urinary tract infection." Since the puppy was sick prior to our picking her up, we feel the breeder should be paying for all the veterinary bills associated with the illnessHowever, we are agreeing to pay half of the bills associated with the illness
Regards,
*** ***

The original complaint was filed on 7/- to which I replied on 7/13/On 7/24, the Revdex.com closed the case due to no reply on ***'s part. Today, 7/*** has replied that he is rejecting the reply.  On The Ball Aussies has offered reimbursement for some of the veterinary care that [redacted]. The [redacted] family has refused. According to our contract: (Contract statements are bolded for easy reading)Page 3 – “You are responsible for any and all medical treatment the dog required at your vet visit. “Page 3 – “Common puppy problems that occur that are either treatable, curable or non-life threatening is not warranted under this guarantee.” Page 3 – “If the buyers vet finds a LIFE THREATENING INCURABLE CONGENTICAL HEALTH PROBLEM (EXCLUDING COMMON PUPPY ISSUES EX. HYPOGLYCEMIA, COCCIDIOSIS, MANGE, GUIARDIA OR WORMS) the sellers must be informed within 1 year of age.  A written report from the examining diagnosing [vet] must be obtained and provided to the seller. The sellers vet shall be allowed to examine the puppy. Provided that the seller and the purchasers vet agree that there is in fact a LIFE HREATENING INCRUABLE CONGENTIAL DEFECT WHICH EXSISTED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, PURCHASER WILL HAVE THE OPTION Of: 1.Return the puppy for a complete refund (excluding sales tax) 2.Return the puppy for a replacement (if a more expensive puppy is chosen that the original then the balance is to be paid) 3.Keep the puppy and the seller will pay up to the purchase price (excluding deposit)  listed above. Any vet bills above the amount of the puppy will be the purchaser’s expense and the seller will not assist in the payment of the resulting amount. *Seller has up to 3 months to refund buyer.”Page 3 – ”HEALTH GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER ANY PARASITE, LYMES, INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL AS THAT IS A TREATABLE CONDITION. ALL VET BILLS FROM HYPOGLYCEMIA, COCCIDIOSIS, KENNEL COUGH, MANGE, WORMS OR GIARDIA OR COMMON PUPPY ISSUES WILL BE THE PURCHASERS RESPONSIBILITY. HYPOGLYCEMIA IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE. IT’S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN YOUR PUPS CARE WITH THIS CONDITION. “ While a UTI is NOT a Life threatening incurable congenital health exam, should it be labeled as such, ”A written report from the examining diagnosing [vet] must be obtained and provided to the seller.” – When I spoke with the [redacted] vet last week, I was allowed to discuss [redacted]’s case. As of today, when I called the Vet clinic, I was informed that I was no longer allowed access to [redacted]’s information. Page 4 – ” Buyer agrees to keep the puppy healthy and stay current on all vaccines and procedures recommended by their vet.”  - While [redacted] had a UTI, Buyers failed to return to a checkup recommended by their vet before discontinuing medication. At this time, without any official medical notes from the current Veterinarian, On The Ball Aussies is unable to determine the condition of the puppy. Since the [redacted] family has changed their position on allowing us access to medical records, has rejected the offered of any reimbursements and has failed to seek appropriate veterinary care, we are asking that this case be closed.  [redacted] ADDED 8/4 after receiving medical notes:According to the [redacted] family Revdex.com complaint on 7/13:“BOUGHT AN AUSSIE PUPPY FROM THE ON THE BALL AUSSIES AND THE DOG WAS TAKEN TO THE VET THE DAY AFTER COMING HOME . FOUND OUT IF HAD A URINARY TRACK INFECTION WHICH THE VET SAID IF HAD FOUND LATER COULD HAVE CAUSED DEATH….”  -          OTBA COMMENTS: In the Veterinary reports, there was NO mention of possible death if not treated. RX was provided indicating a treatable condition.According to medical notes: (page 5) 07-07-17 BAH CC Client CommunicationSES TTO on 7/7 (entered notes on 7/27) - Rec'd recheck urine culture prior to finishing thismedication, however d/t cost consider at least recheck UA prior to finishing antibiotics or 2-3 daysafter finishing. O will try to recheck before finishing antibiotics.(This was mentioned 3x on page 5)-          OTBA COMMENTS: Vet recommended urine recheck “prior to finishing this medication, however d/t cost consider at least recheck UA prior to finishing antibiotics or 2-3 days after finishing”. The [redacted] family failed to recheck puppy before finishing medication or 2-3 days after.7/11 Medical notes say: “apparently resolving UTI”7/30 On The Ball Aussies replied to [redacted] family complaint.7/31 [redacted] family scheduled [redacted] for recheck7/31 [redacted] family asked vet to discontinue contact with On The Ball Ausseis8/1??? Medical notes: “apparently clear urine…” At this time, On The Ball Aussies will hold their position in the fact that we while were willing to reimburse for the antibiotic and UAs, or replace the puppy, even though it is not covered in our contract, the [redacted] family declined. In addition, due to the [redacted] family not following veterinary advice for a recheck before discontinuing medication, we will not be offering any additional or ongoing medical reimbursements at this time.-- Thanks, Lene' Ball[redacted]
